Most of the videos online are just instrumentals. Perhaps he could visit the Amex next season!

Sounds so much better with the 'stand or fall' rather than 'up to win the cup'

I am sure people look at me and think who's that old t--ser' when I sing the 'correct' words every time the team come out pre game or pre second half.

OF COURSE it sounds much better and indeed it is absolutely pointless singing the going up to win the cup thing when, a) we are not going up and, b) we are out of the cup.

Sussex was endowed with a wonderful song by Ward Higgs in 1902, adopted by the RSF as a marching song. JC., this is a part of history like no other club anywhere has.

I do wish we could get it right !

I feel your pain but for some reason people can't sing in time to it efore the game, in fact there seems to be lots of people who cannot even seem to clap in time.

bit odd hearing it sung in Sussex rather than mockney - reminds me of my granddad - I wonder how I would sound to him?

Sussex By The Sea

Further

and though I have only been in Sussex for Forty Years, here follows the original words as far as they fit in with the club, ie the pre match music etc.

Sussex by the Sea W Ward-Higgs 1902

Now is the time for marching
Now let your hearts be gay
Hark to the merry bugles
Sounding along our way
So let your voices ring my boys
And take the time from me
And I’ll sing you a song, as we march along,
Of Sussex by the sea.

For we’re the men from Sussex
Sussex by the sea
We plough and sow and reap and mow
And useful men are we
And when you go from Sussex
Whoever you may be
You tell them all that we stand or fall
For Sussex by the sea

Oh Sussex, Sussex by the sea
Good old Sussex by the sea
You may tell them all that we stand or fall
For Sussex by the sea

As I said, I am not originally Sussex but WTF, it still fills me with pride and emotion given how it originated.

STAND OR FALL !

Brilliant to hear I can report that every match Biscuit and I sing the correct words as do a few around us.

Just for the record ... The singer is Noel Dumbrell, who was born and brought up in Ashurst in West Sussex where his grandfather owned the pub, The Fountain. He's now in his eighties. The recording was made at The Royal Oak in Lewes. in September 2011.
