Clearly a project of this magnitude should not just be presented as a done deal. We've had the presentation with the board's initial proposals and the forum. Now I fully expect the board to convene an EGM at which shareholders will have the opportunity to vote on the project as it stands, a scaled down project with a limit of say £6m. budget or any other feasible alternative that might be put on the table. I trust this is exactly the democratic process which the board has in mind. After all, this will determine the entire future of the club. It is a decision which we must all be part of and on which we should all accept the outcome of the vote at the EGM.
Next week I think we should approach the club look at the rules get the 100 or so signatures and call for an EGM.
Wasting £8M without consulting the members is like a dictatorship and not how a members club is run. I have no idea where or when yesterday's meeting was so lets call an EGM AND FORCE THE ISSUE.
