Another example of the thudercunts that inhabit NSC nowadays. She as said above had brain damage at birth and was/is borderline Downs. She came on stage 7 weeks ago and had the piss ripped out of her until she sang. She then delivered 2 more excellent performances and should have won on Saturday for the impact and 3 performances overall.

She had a melt down under immense pressure as the press turned her from hero to zero.

Still if it gives the perfect people on NSC a chance to kick someone else go ahead.

Top post. Some people on here are unbelievable.

Like it's f***ing genuine!!

The whole programme is/was a farce, it's just another way to keep her column inches up now the show has finished.

Everyone has issues, none of us are immune to it, be they physical, mental or whatever.

But she made the decision to go on the show so I think we have to give her a bit of credit that she knew exactly what she was putting herself into.

She probably saw that Welshman and thought I can do that.

And it's not the shows fault or job to protect her.

The whole premice of the show is to get yaself on camera and try and win a large amount of money.

Do quiz shows have a responsibility to protect stupid people who can't answer any questions right?

Goodness no!

I read she's going to make 10 million at least in a year, pretty large compensation for getting ya mug on tv.

How good it is to have such a wonderful intellect and how sad that it cannot be used to understand those with less

Exactly, the Cowell/Clifford bandwagon mugs the British public again. How low does reality TV have to stoop in this country before people say enough is enough? We're one step away from having American-style evangelical preacher shows and your Mrs Miggins from Stockport types will still be writing out cheques and popping them in the post.

With less?

She can sing like an angel while I sing like a sparrow who smokes too much.

She's going to be a millionaire and be able to enjoy all the fineries in life as she so desires and never have to work again.

Don't be so condescending suggest she some how has "less".

She actually been blessed with talents that can raise her above the grind of the average persons struggle in life.

She's been blessed in a way most average people never will be.

Simon Cowells stock raises again. Please correct me If I am wrong, but I honestly think his company, his co-stars are the only people that come out smelling of roses every single time. Does Cowell really ever see past the pound signs? If he has give me some internet proof?

So now Susan Boyle is either going to be hated by the public and classed as a complete nutter since 98% of the population don't have a clue about mental health, and go by what the papers say, or Susan Boyle will get the sympathy vote and lots of people will buy her Album. Either way Cowell cannot lose can he?

I think Susan Boyle has been used as someone to humiliate and take the piss out of on live TV for the viewing pleasure.

Right.

You seemed to have overlooked her lovely voice for which she actually shot to fame over and will make her a nice living from.

Not sure how the judges have taken the piss out of someone by praising their their talents.

Susan Boyle put herself out there for all to see, not the judges or the show,

Sadly true (but they're clued up about Britain's Got Talent!) :nono:

FFS. I couldn't care less what people think of Cowell, but he's clearly very good at what he does. All he's done in this particular case is make a show that lots of people enjoy watching, and which offer a showcase to a load of aspiring 'artistes'. If they're shit, people will laugh at them. If they're good, they might not win, but they'll still do well out of it [see. Faryl Smith, etc].

Its not Cowell's job to raise awareness of mental health issues.

He could produce 'Britain's got Mental Health Issues', but then the same people would be complaining that he was profiting from other's misfortune, etc.

And I doubt anyone would watch it...

is the priory a 'real' clinic, or more likely a celeb ego massaging pr stunting tax writeoff?

anyone else just goes home and has a good rest. it doesnt need to be on front of the papers.

she lost.

accept it.

You miserable ,intolerant bastard.. There are certain things that happen in life which are unexplainable....depression ( or breakdown) is one of them. If you have had the misfortune to either have it, or know a loved one that suffers, i would be suprised if you would even be posting here.
I think 'Desprateseagull' is just about right for you !

I can't help but take a passing interest; not because I much like overhyped talent shows but for what it says about the taboo about mental illness. This episode reminds me a bit of Paul Gascoigne: she's being expected to act like any other little talent show darling who's achieved Cowell's patronage and clearly can't, for exactly the same reason through which she's become famous in the first place: her ugliness and her slight learning difficulties. And those same symptoms make for great "she's gone mad!" copy.

Something to do with Max Clifford I would guess, or am I too cynical ??

Max Clifford major line of work is keeping people out of the paper rather than the other way round, or though he does work for Simon Cowell.

Not sure what there is to laugh about to be honest.

Woman with mental health problems gets thrown under spotlight of the world media and has trouble dealing with it.

I hope she recovers and probably best the media leave her alone for a while, but I doubt they will. They've got a lot to answer for to be honest, trawling round trying to find out whether she was a virgin on not.

she has also been blessed with a disability which will make it incredibly difficult for her to benefit from the singular ability she possesses

If she's a bit 'unstable' then it's probably a good thing she didn't win. At least now she can be helped without the added pressure of having to fulfill her obligations as the winner of the show.

For what it's worth, I thought Diversity deserved to win. Susan Boyle only sang two songs in the whole competition which she probably already knew anyway.

Diversity had to create three completely new routines, one at 5 days notice, choreograph them to perfection and perform them in the knowledge that another similar streetdance act were their man competition. They did this and were absolutely magnificent on saturday.

Deserved winners.

You really are an irredeemably inhumane & cynical wanker aren't you? Hope I never have the misfortune of being in earshot of you. Live on your own do you?
