You've got to love days like this when your team isn't involved.

One goal for Newcastle and they stay up. One goal for Hull doesn't really change much.

I just keep thinking of the prospect of Scunthorpe v Newcastle next season and loving it.

God: if you're listening...

What about Doncaster v Newcastle.

2002/03, Newcastle were playing in the Champions League while Doncaster were still non league!

Fair enough. I was just thinking Glanford Park is probably a little less to Alan Shearer's liking than the Keepmoat Stadium

I see the Albion as more like Hull than Newcastle. I would like us to emulate Hull's achievements so for that reason alone I want them to stay up.

If Newcastle have to go down as a result then so be it.

Can't help wondering if there's a sucker punch here.

Hull don't appear to be doing a lot (from what I'm listening to on the radio at least), almost as if they've settled for losing in the hope that Newcastle don't get a result.

The Geordies only need one goal as it stands...looks like Ameobi coming on. What price a spawny Ameobi goal and a late Newcastle skin-of-their-teeth escape?
