Those pinging noises are tweets coming in to SurreyCricket - try it, it's fun to send one and hear you own personal ping.

You should tweet them saying that the pinging noises are distracting and spoiling your enjoyment of the commentry and that until it stops you will keep on contacting them.

The run rate's dropped. Just a couple of measly singles off the last two overs. Drum roll for the inevitable wicket...

Loving the football / cricket crossover. Worthy of a song:

"Jordan is our Murray
And Dobbie's Hamilton-Brown
Next year we'll be Premier League
And Palace going down!"

Interestingly, Warwickshire have just bowled Somerset out for 406 and Rikki Clarke has taken the last two wickets in consecutive balls. Now if Warwickshire don't bowl again in the match and he takes a wicket with his first ball in the next match then does he have a hat-trick?

I hope not, it's against us at the B&H Jobs.com/Greene King(yuk) Arena next week.

In that case it would be quite funny to see Clarke celebrating wildly whilst the rest of the crowd wonder what the hell's going on. Got to be the shittest way to get a hat-trick ever.

I'm getting worried we are getting ahead of ourselves, when we are far from safe yet. We have just gone over 2.5 an over, we are still a massive 80 runs away from parity and only have eight wickets in hand. We need a bit less batting and a bit more blocking, Surrey are just toying with us and will be up for it after a big lunch.

Don't go chasing bonus points Sussex when we could still fight for a draw against (one of the many) champions elect..

Surrey 351
Sussex 279/2 (101.2 ov)

Would it be wrong to hope that we kick on a bit from here... and actually put Surrey under some pressure in their second innings?

Hopefully I'll miss this then. If there's still Harveys in the Jim Parks Bar then I'm likely to be comatose in a Groovy Gang deckchair well before the nob get's a bowl.

So, it's a race

Wells to 150 or Joyce to 100 first? (Or Dernbach to 100 :))
