Lets face it, in the last month or so we have played seriously crap...Brentford, Peterboro, Stockport, Bournemouth, Blackpool ( yes we won 3-0 but!) Forest Green and Boston were equally crap!!!!

I think the inherant problem is that we have now an nucleus of players who have tasted 2 championships and first division and who are basically stale.

I have been banging on about spending money on the squad ,but have been flamed on here many times with the " we must have all the money spent on Falmer"

I think we need a balancing act! I think we must look for people who are prepared to invest in a club as we are ( with the hope that Falmer comes off) What happens when Falmer is agreed. Does anyone seriously believe millions of pounds of funds is going to suddenly appear for team strenghtening? No chance! I honestly believe the club must actively look for a " sugar daddy" type person who is prepared to fund team building.

Knight and Perry and the current board do not have the funds, that is obvious to anyone with half a brain cell.

I really think if we are not careful we will lose the momentum built up by Adams and Taylor and this club will slide!

These are the ramblings of a very dsgruntled season ticket holder that for the first time in three seasons, chose to stay away from a away game rather that not be able to go. I am one of the hard core fans, If I start to lose interest, what does that say for the rest of the floating support?

Fair fact we are playing sh1te at present and we need some impetus from somewhere.

Playing Pethick in midfield is a ghastly error to say the least and I am convinced either Haring or Hammond would do better.

Need MM to start wheeling and dealing - there are players out there, Junior Lewis is at Swindon and they had Milner on loan.

Time to get on the phone and start dealing.

The old guard have two championship medals and long-term contracts under the belt. Why should they care? Time to f*** 'em up & farm 'em out to the Reserves for a timely dose of reality

Couldn't agree with you more Dave. Whatever decision Mr Prescott makes, Falmer is at least 3 years away. What do we do in the meantime? Just accept that we can't compete in Division One?

Pitcher seems to be on long-term loan these days. Someone must have rated him when he was signed. Was it Adams? Could he not be given a go?

He couldn't be any worse than our current midfield players. Carpenter and Jones in particular are a waste of space.

Unfortunately until Falmer is up and running, we are always going to be treading water as a club, and a bit of a joke in my opinion (Withdean, etc)

With reference to a "sugar daddy", a club coach told me in the summer there is a very wealthy supporter who wants to put big money into the club (not the health club Steve Foster bloke) but Knight is not prepared to sell his stake in the club.

I don't know how these things work, but Knight must stand to make alot of money/cudous (spelling?) when the new ground (the AmEx Stadium anyone?!!) is built otherwise he would surely give another man a chance to lead the Albion? Fair enough he doesn't want the club to descend into the dark anarchic days of Knight/Belotti but perhaps the time is right for a new man at the head of the board table....whoever that maybe

...and both of them with the "dark anarchic days of Knight/Belotti" phrase.

Surely you meant Archer? A man so sick that even your fingers refuse to type his name.

How can falmer take so long to build as i exspect it 18 months after the all clear.
If it takes 2 1/2 - 3 years there is something seriously wrong and the cost of such a long project is immense to say the least.

Yes we do need proper funds as knight is not one for spending as is clear to see and this 3 year falmer thing has rearly pissed me off if its the case.

Has anyone ever heard of a ground taking 3 years to build seriously??? ??? dodgy dodgy dodgy:yawn:

You're thinking you can always buy success. Al-Fayed has done it to a point, Abromovich has definately done it so far at Chelsea but these are both foreigners and two of the worlds richest men.

On the other hand Wolves spent years with no success on a sugar daddys money. Leeds spent stupid amounts, now that they didn't get continutity of success they're totally in the shit. And don't you also follow Huddersfield? Look what Steve Bruce's spending spree did to them.

Sugar daddy? Yes please if he's got billions. No thanks if we're just going to swap one Sussex business man for another. At least the one we've got has made sure there will be an Albion to watch every weekend.

We cannot hope to be more than a half decent Div 2 side given the income that Withdean generates.

Since last year we have lost two of our best players via transfers (Zamora and Brooker) and two more to long term injuries (Blackwell and Rodger). Even squad players such as Charlie are unavailable.

Some players have gone backwards in the last two years too (Carpenter, Mayo, Jones, Watto. FDM.........and sadly DC, who does not look his old self IMHO)

Hate to say it, but all we can look forward to is a long hard winter. It's up to the existing team to roll their sleeves up, otherwise play the kids.

It isn't just the ground that has to be built-how many more times do we have to have this discussion?

Right-pay attention:

1) There are Uni buildings on the stadium site

2) We are still waiting for the go-ahead

3) The Uni buildings will have to be demolished and they're not going to do that if the stadium bid gets turned down because they'll have no need to.

4) The Uni will not allow them to be demolished until their replacements are built-no disruption of Uni activities is their objective.

5) Approval, new Uni buildings, demolition of old buildings, site preparation and construction of the stadium all in 3 years is excellent.

You've summed it up perfectly, be interesting to see our gates once mid to lower table mediocrity is achieved. Depressing times are back :(

Your Spot on Dave!

As I said when SC went and I posted a few so called facts on
here;

All DK is interested in is Falmer,he doesnt give a flying F:censored: K where the team are going to be when we finally get there!

On another point, when SC was here,DK said there was no money in the pot,now MM is here,he then says there is money available for players????
