I think we could survive without him. Norwood showed enough class in his passing ability to keep Stephens out of the team whilst he did.

Cabaye looks very average. How much did you spend on him? What are his wages? Stephens could be a better player based on what I've seen.

He's been struggling for a while ( rumoured marriage problems) but has looked good in the last couple of games.
Think we paid £9 mill for him, and reported wages of £90 k a week.
If the Southampton link is concrete, and we re- couped our outlay, I can see him moving on, he would be more suited to their system.
