Don't like this thread as it gives the Nigel deluded trolls somewhere to bounce constantly but was genuinely embarrassed for CP2010FC when I saw they put their strongest team out - stank of desperation from the foul mouthed silver fox dancing dad TBH. He's their most successful manager in their history though - much better record than the other 4 or 5...

As we dont have an away end (tho we should) its actually a good idea this thread as it keeps them all here.

If he was that good he wouldn't be going anywhere near Palace

We are now an established Premier League club that can attract names such as Cabaye, Benteke and Remy. You're still looking at us as the side that last played you in the Championship. We have moved on from those days.

Yep, at possibly around £300K per week for those three in wages, the money is certainly not being wasted on a any more cladding.
Those three alone (close to £16 mill) must take care of your seasons gate money on their own ?

What could possibly go wrong.

It's the way football is with the new Sky TV Deal. Parish knows what he's doing, he hasn't put a foot wrong since he joined the club bar maybe the Warnock appointment.

So what do you think your squad wage bill is now, with people like Townsend and Tomkins surely on around £80K per week it must be taking huge sums from your TV deal and that is without of course the transfer and agents fees.

There are only six or seven “established” Premier League sides. The rest are on borrowed time. Palace are no more likely to sustain a place in the top flight than Albion would or will. The difference is that Albion are better placed to weather the storm that is eventual relegation.

We can afford it, simple. We've sold Bolaise for up to £30 million, Gayle for £10 million, McCarthy for £4 million and Jedinak for £4 million. We also released Chamackh and Adebayor who were taking up a lot of the wage bill.

Based on what, your shiny new stadium?

Because we would drop into the Championship with world-class infrastructure, whereas Palace would drop with only cosmetic changes having been made to an outdated stadium, in spite of their having had hundreds of millions of pounds to spend every year.

That's wishful thinking. We have been in the Premier League for 4 years now, the amount of wealth we have collected in that time compared to you must be staggering, we could blow you out of the water. Of course we would be in a better place to return.

Some of our claims are staggering.

When did it stop being as simple and enjoying palace losing?

No how I'm looking at it is those players are being bought without any bidding wars with other clubs - there is no other real interest. Benteke & Co want to stay in the Premier League(nothing wrong with that) but they are not being sought by the top clubs in the division

:ffsparr:

'World class infrastructure' guarantees nothing. It's all there, of course it is but Palace have the money to match it now. They'll never have a better ground all the time they're in the area they're in but it's daft to keep banging on about a Lancing facility that is in it's infancy as regards to producing talent. Albion are doing well, very well if you ask me, and I would much rather progress the way we are, and go about our business as we do than Crystal Palace do or more importantly have done in the past. They got lucky, probably being the most undeserving club to do so in the process, but it's time to get over 2013 and hopefully watch a very big fall from grace (sic)

That hasn't really worked out for Blackpool, Blackburn, or Fulham, all of whom have better stadia than you. You should enjoy your handful of seasons in the sun though - the bookies think there is a fair chance it will end soon, and when you do come down, you'll have to jizz all that money on above average wages like Newcastle are doing if you want a good chance of going up again, and that is risky. And of course, if it fails, you'll drop like a stone. Your infrastructure is a complete shambles compared to ours.

I'm not happy that we are the division below you, but I am VERY happy that our sugar-daddy has invested in the stadium and fantastic state-of-the-art training ground rather than gambling on over-paying players to get us up. It really has set us up in the long term, especially if the bottom ever falls out of the TV market.
