It slightly concerns me that "the fans" all seem to get tarnished with the same brush, especially those like me that sit in E block.

I think the booing on Saturday over stepped the mark and is going some way to creating a negative relationship with Gus and amoungst some fans.

Theses booers are in the minority and we need to show them that, I for one feel the need to apologise on behalf of these idiots and show solodarity with Gus for what he is trying to acheive.

If i can find some stuff I might try and make a small banner showing my support, will I be the only one ? :bhasign:

Great idea - do it! Bring all the Uruaguian (sp) flags too...!!! There was a rousing Gus Poyet my lord after one of the home games recently on the running track (Exeter?)

I don't think supporters need to do anything. Poyet simply needs to be able to take the rough with the smooth. Lets not forget, he put out a side that failed to beat a division 8 pub team last weekend. The people to be appreciated were the punters who forked out money for that, not the manager. He'll get his rousing reception when we win again, playing the quality football we've been seeing. I don't mean to sound flippant there, because I firmly believe that day will be Saturday at Fortress Withdean.

He doesn't seem to like too much affection though. A few games ago we were singing "Gus Poyet my Lord" in H block, as he walked towards the dug out, and at first he clapped but after he gestured for us to calm down.

As a fellow E-blocker I totally agree.

I would NEVER boo the team so please don't tar all us E-blockers with the same brush.

Def up for a rousing Gus Poyet My Lord - someone else will have to start it though cos I'm too shy to start it myself.

Let's show Gus how much we love him!

This.
Gus will be warmly applauded to the duguot as always. But if we play like a herd of diseased goats and get turned over, then sure as eggs is eggs there WILL be a few grumbles.

Issa fubull innit.

Boo boys stay away. You are a tiny number, but your lack of support is in danger of ruining our best season for years - undermining Gus and the players and seriously pissing off us supporters who would never dream of booing our team. Why not shift your 'support' up the M23 - everyone's a winner!

It's always about the money you've paid to watch your team isn't it!? Paid your money you can boo, but does it help? Does booing help in anyway whatsoever? We all pay our money to support and watch our team, and sometimes they are all going to be crap, every team is crap sometimes. The manager knows they've been crap, the players know they're not playing well, and the loudest noise the Withdean can muster in weeks is to boo. Its a friggin disgrace.
