All about lucky pants for me. If I'm wearing a certain pair and we win, I try and wear them again for the next game. If we lose, I don't wear them to a game again.

Fear not, for I shall be bringing the pink back out on Thursday.

What happens when we draw?

The last two games I have worn lucky blue socks and my Calde t-shirt and we have won both games. They shall both be deployed tomorrow night.

I seriously hope my pre-match drinking on saturday wasn't the lucky charm because I am NOT doing that again.

The Rams’ FA Cup curse

Unhappy with being forcibly uprooted when the Baseball Ground was built in 1885, a group of travellers placed a very specific curse on Derby County: that they would never win the FA Cup. The magic was strong. Between 1895 and 1909, the club reached no fewer than 13 semi-finals, only to lose them all. When they eventually made the final in 1946, club skipper Jack Nicholas took drastic measures, crossing a traveller’s palm with silver in a bid to end the curse. It worked: the Rams won 4-1 after extra time. Curse gone.

After draws with Huddersfield and Blackpool whilst wearing my '13-'14 Brighton top, I switched back to my '12-'13 one for the Yeovil and Forest games and it has worked a treat! I think you can guess what I'll be wearing when watching the Derby game...

I throw some money in the wishing well in my front garden.

(Having a wishing well in your front garden is also a good way to earn a bit of pocket money from superstitious passers-by.)
