Having put my Texans out in the Divisional Round, I'm hoping the Chiefs don't do the three-peat and that the Eagles prevail.

The Chiefs aren't as strong this year and could easily have missed out on the #1 AFC seed with some close shaves.

Saquon's had a stellar season, so deserves to end up with a SB ring and possible MVP although it often ends up with a QB.

As for the haters, it's Americana. Embrace it or ignore it. Plenty of us watch weekly Channel 5 coverage and post on the NSC thread.

Lady Gaga playing outside. Kendrick's half-time show. Taylor Swift supporting her man Travis Kelce like last year. And celeb spotting galore.

With the President there and his previous views, I wonder if anyone's prepared to kneel/protest during the anthem. Unlikely, but not impossible.

So plenty of subplots and plenty of excess - it's New Orleans a few weeks before Mardi Gras, after all. And Jason and Osi back again on TV. All good.

With the teams entering, it sounds very much like an Eagles crowd in tonight.

Enjoy the game if you're watching!

I like American football and watch a game most Sunday evenings.

This game though is like staying up late to watch Palace V Portsmouth
I'll start watching out of a sense of duty, given I'm a big fan of the sport. I struggle to cheer for a team called the Eagles but absolutely despise the Chiefs, primarily because they keep knocking out my Bills. They've bluffed their way to the Superbowl with a number of single score wins and a lot of questionable officiating, but if Kermit starts running the show and the Swift cutaways get too nauseating then I'll probably call it a night.

I usually only make it to 8:00 p.m. Central US time with my 3 brothers at my house in Indiana. They tell me I always fall asleep first. Game starting soon which is about 5:30 p.m. same as New Orleans. Too many snacks.

And there we have it, only a few minutes in and already the Chiefs get a bullsh1t call.

Rees-Zammit there with the boys.

Welsh rugby could definitely use him at the moment! :)

Enjoyable 1st Quarter. Philadelphia great start but just coughed up an interception. Mahomes off to a slow start.
