Having just got back in from watching it and having seen Roma play a few times this season, here's my two pennies worth.
That was by far the worst Roma performance this season by a long way. I would even put it as worse than our 5-0 defeat a PalARSE4 years ago.
Roma MADE United look that good because they were THAT shite tonight.

I've watched every game on Bravo before they took it off air, and still get the occasional one tape for me from Setanta by someone at work.
Roma were (in the best Alan Hanson voice I can do) 'absolutely shocking'
As good as Man U were, Roma were just as, if not, worse.

I agree and disagree at the same time. Utd's 2nd and 3rd goals were superb, all about spreading the ball quickly and moving forward at top speed, it was like Arsenal were doing two years ago and everyone was creaming themselves. Just a mention for the Roma goal, not a bad finish, despite it being barely enough to take the shine off an outstanding performance by United. It was nice to see the English lads in the team excelling, all we need is to have a manager capable of bringing it out of them on the international stage.

Sir Alex IS a genius - to get his team to that level of controlled aggression and organisation is awesome. Yes, Roma were abject, but only after they were 3-0 down and out of the tie. Before that they hadn't done much wrong, but United played at another level.
