I wish! Can't trust myself not to booze ahead of this sunday's half marathon so I had to swerve it. Absolutely GUTTED! It's been ages since I've seen them.

Going to Maximo Park at Albert Hall but would prefer to be at SFA.

I went. Was a great gig though I thought the sound was a bit off (especially on Gruff Rhys' mic) and the middle of the set had too much of the new album. Still one of the est live bands around though!

You're right, the sound was ropey esp for Gruff. I couldnt understand any of his between song chat. Sound was at it's worst during Inaugural Trams. My favourite off the album; bouncy and playful on record... flat as a pancake on Friday.

Agree, a great band to catch live.

I actually nearly got beaten up for shouting out to the sound desk to "sort out the f***ing microphone" in between a song - apparently SFA fans don't like any sort of criticism of the band - any other gig and I swear more people would have complained.

Also had the misfortune to be standing behind (though managed to move away) the most disgusting smelling obese man who insisted on dancing like a twat all the way through the gig. There were too many people just jumping up and down like lemons - luckily I'm far too cool for that sort of nonsense!
