2 HOURS! Do be quiet, it normally takes just over THREE!:clap::clap:

If they can sort out a time to play the game that suits the yanks I can see it happening, although I won't make a difference to most of us as I pointed out on the last thread as tickets will be so outrageously expensive it'll only be for the rich and famous!

3 hours is a pretty short game!!

Isn't Baseball HUGE in asia? I know its the most watched weekly game in the world.

Baseball is huge in Japan, it is played in Australia and also South America not to mention in Mexico. It's getting as popular as Cricket but in different countries.

Basketball is played worldwide although not to the level of the NBA. Several countries have professional basketball though. Ice Hockey is also widely played especially in Eastern European countries.

By contrast, unless you include the European League American Football is not played anywhere other than North America. Within that the Canadian game is played with a different sized pitch, 12 players on the pitch for each side and has only three Downs instead of Four.

A London Super Bowl would be the most hyped sporting event of all time, with unprecedented coverage—not just in the U.S. and Britain but in every other country. It would place the event in the running to compete on equal footing afforded to the Olympics and the World Cup, and it could elevate the game's status as possibly an international sports holiday.

Hyped sporting event of all time  I don't think so.

Not to we mere mortals no but The Superbowl pretty much epitomises the US of A to it's inhabitants. Even people who don't like sport tune in and watch it and there are millions of Superbowl parties across the nation.

The big difference between just about and American Football game (From College to the NFL) is that each game is an event rather than a game such as say, a Manchester derby. There are far fewer games and therefore they are that much more exclusive.

Obviously the Superbowl is THE most exclusive. The three other main sports, MLH, MLB and NBA are decided over the best of seven games whereas the Superbowl is all in one. We just have nothing that really gets as close.

"7. The aftermath of the event could propel the NFL into a real competition for top sport in the world, akin to the '70s-era domestic battle between baseball and football. And why shouldn't fans of American football want our greatest sport to be the world's greatest sport? If folks can get worked up about a bunch of guys in shorts chasing a white ball with not much scoring, they'd be downright rabid about football once they give it a full and fair chance."

Grrrrr. Those yanks are such brainless idiots. So "Soccerball" is shit because it doesn't end 82-73 or summat?
What a pointless "sport" American Football is. I can't believe a minority of people over here could actually be interested in such an aimless activity.
I think both countries should accept, we'll never fully embrace American Football, and they'll never fully embrace "soccer"- it will always be a minority.
I have a good idea of where they can stick their "Superbowl".
