Cant see it happening - but who knows.

Why are Americans so obsessed with this idea that a sport where there's a lot of goals/points is great? To me it seems obvious that what makes football great is the rarity value of the goals - I don't think I'd be so excited if games finished 81-78 or something every week.

As opposed to rugby, cricket?
The difference being is we understand the difference in the type of game that cricket is to football. We don't watch football and think I wish the scoring was the same as cricket.
A lot of Americans seem to think football is no good because the scoring is low.
That would be bloody BRILLIANT.
Only problem would be the time of the match - would have to start near midnight to accomodate the americans
I can't see the harm in it.
I'm sure a lot of minority interest sports which aren't usually based in this country hold events here without any media fuss whatsoever, no reason why this should be treated any differently.
American football (and the other American sports) just need to be taken at face value as other sports.
It is a sport designed to appeal to Anmericans, like Baseball that in the vast majority of cases is on;ly played in America so hpow can it be a World Championship and why should we want to have the game played on our national football ground. Keep it in USA for them to watch. We neither want nor need it here.
i do, and it is shit. how can it take 2 hours to play four 15minute periods?
Because its rugby for wimps and people find it confusing! Stamp it out! Blame Americans in general!
