You've plunged to new depths with typos in the thread titles 😃
As for the government's new superb plan, nothing they do surprises me anymore. What could possibly go wrong?

Edit - ok Sunk wasn't a typo. Whooshed.

The British are renowned for having bad teeth. Every chance that foreign dentists are better than we have.
That's because we don't go to the dentist.

I do go, and my English dentist is excellent.

The 'solution' offered here is because we have a dentist shortage that is not being filled by UK qualified dentists or qualified dentists from overseas. So the Sunk plan is to waive the qualification requirements.

Open wide!

Sunk is how I always refer to the PM. No typo there. I haven't drunk nearly enough. And it is anger that damages my spelling, not scorn

And yes, you couldn't make this sort of tomfoolery up. I fear the Shitanic has been grievously holed.

Given the hostile messages the Tories keep sending out, I seriously doubt that many foreign dentists will actually come here.

Rather than running down the NHS as they have been doing for the past decade, the solution would seem to be to re-balance the NHS dentist contract, so that dentists do not continually leave the NHS for the private sector.

Still a nice headline for Sunik, and he will be able to waffle about how his plan is working, although achieving nothing.

My lovely Lithuanian dentist has been looking after my teeth (on the NHS) for the last 15-20 years. Considering their age - and some pretty shite dentists that were allowed to practice when I was younger - she's done a great job.

Nah! - thanks, but your need is greater than mine! Anyway, that's a shovel, not a spade............................
When did I say it was a spade? ???

(My need, though is bigger than yours, unless you have an awful lot of gardening to do. Like what I do. )

Great, this will really help

. My private (Polish) dentist has recently appointed a Swedish dental technician who does fillings. They are both excellent and properly qualified and display these. This will really create a two-tier system. Seems like cons and the other bunch of fools have a wonderful future planned.

As others have said don't really give a shite where the dentist comes from. If they are qualified in their own country have good reviews and cheaper than the British ones I'm all for it !!!

The British public don't seem to give a fook either. Plenty going to turkey for their teeth.

I personally have a dentist in Harley street and for more expensive procedures I go to a friend's in Krakow who qualified in the states.
