It will be interesting to see what happens. I bought mine, at 50% more than it cost me for a league game. Not too happy about that.

Well for the two of us it's £56.00 (plus the booking fee) and that's before the cost of transport, programme and food/drink.

OK, so the food/drink and programme are optional, but it's getting on for £100.00

I really don't know why some people are making such a big fuss about this, the club has offerred tickets at a set price, you either;
a) but the ticket at that price and attend the match, or
b) decide the price is beyound you and don't go.
Simple really!

The same argument would apply in any other instance; if you walked into Pizza Hut and said "how much is a large deep-pan meat feast" and they said £15 you have a choice, pay £15 and eat one or think it's too expensive and not have one! You wouldn't start a debate with the management of Pizza Hut to try explaining your logic that if they charged only £12 for the pizza they'd sell more of them

Ken Newbury what a crap usumption. Did you ever give over £300.00 to keep Pizza hut afloat ( I probably think not) and if you did your a mug. Alot of albion fans helped the club in there hour of need. What we are all saying is that if the tickets were alittle cheaper we would fill the stadium and hopefully have an atmosphere like the Doncaster game. People do not have money to burn in this day and age.

Apart from the fact that this game is more expensive than a league game for season ticket holders.
WHAT REALLY PISSES ME OFF IS THE £2 BOKING FEE.
What do i get for that?
no paper ticket,no stamp,no persons wage to pay,wtf is it for?

I'm happy to pay the £33. Not often we get to see us pitched against premiership opposition.

We played the 1st team of Spurs in a freindly which was £31.50+booking fees each for my son and I in our seats, do you think Sunderland will come all this way with the full 1st team squad for a lesser cup? I don't think so, and the £35+fees each for our seats is too strong financially for us at the moment.

I agree, as all they are doing is updating our smartcards so therefore no postage costs. If anyone is buying a ticket for the first time and is sent a smartcard for the future, then by all means, add a booking fee.

We were told at our presentation that Smartcards were so clever we would be able to add cup games for free.
Why the backtrack?

If we want to watch million pound plus Albion players in fantastic surroundings playing the best football ever (probably) then we have to accept we as fans are going to have to fund it. The quality of football and the opposition is not over priced at £28 imo and although I understand it might start to exclude some less well off long time fans, we are going to have to move towards being able to fund the team via ticket and merchandise sales. TB won't be happy making up the difference for ever, I wouldn't have thought.

somerset it cant be sold out because I still have to purchase my ticket and so does my son, we have 4 days left to decide whether to buy them.
IT WILL BE A SELL OUT, thats what I said,... if you dont buy your seat, someone else will I am sure,... Prem team at the Amex,.... there will be demand.

17k or so of those attending the 2 league matches during this time have already secured their seats so finding an extra £28 for a one off match isn't as difficult as if they had to finance all three in a week.

This is against Premier League opposition so there is likely to be more interest from curious onlookers who could snap up tickets when they go on general sale

And at £28 per ticket, it is still cheaper than the £30 that Pompey charged today so i don't think its over priced
Exactly this,... some common sense at last.
