Have done some maths and want to know what sort of attendance we will get at the Amex given the current ticket prices for the Sunderland game. Take a look at the table below and decide what sort of attendance and income we will have if all tickets are sold at £28.00 and the table if all tickets are sold at £20.00

£28.00
10,000 = £280,000
12,000 = £336,000
14,000 = £392,000
16,000 = £448,000
18,000 = £504,000
20,000 = £560,000
22,500 = £630,000

£20.00
10,000 =£200,000
12,000 =£240,000
14,000 =£280,000
16,000 =£320,000
18,000 =£360,000
20,000 =£400,000
22,500 =£450,000

Whilst I know we would have to take into account OAP'S, children, disabled but if we work on this basis I personaly think at £28.00 a ticket we would be lucky to get 12,000 - 14,000 on the night which would give a maximum ticket sale of £392,000. If tickets were £20.00 then a full house is possible giving a potential revenue of £450,000. Surely the club would have more chance of progressing with 20,000 Brighton fans behind them. And I am big enough to take a North stand chat ear bending on this thread.

Dear bomber130,

Great post, please add this to my thread on 'ask the club', I agree surely 20,000 fans paying same same 14,000 is better for the fans, the team and our chances of getting to round three.

I think we will sell more than 12-14,000.
The club is on a roll & we are now in a new era.
If the ground were 30,000 capacity then the prices would have to be reduced.
The plastics will want to see a premiership team at the Amex.
Regrettably all things considering I believe the club have priced the game correctly

I do know what you are getting and I was probably a bit disappointed at the ticket prices but, apart from concessions you can also leave out the 1901 club whose ticketing arrangement includes all games - lucky them.

Quite right though, the bigger the attendance the more pies, pints of Harveys etc will be consumed so it will be interesting to see the turnout especially as the Saturdays on either side are home fixtures I believe.

Poor Piglet though !

Well I think we will get 16k, which means the club will take more money than selling out the stadium at £20 a ticket. Which ultimatley will justify the priceing of this match....Although personally I do think £28 is a bit steep.

Everything the club is currently doing is simply fab, however they have dropped a bollock over this and need to rethink.

Three homes games in a week means many will miss this one, so not only will the club lose out in gate money, but pie beer etc money.

And it's not going to be a bundle of fun for those of us that go trying to out sing the away fans in front of a half empty stadium.

17k or so of those attending the 2 league matches during this time have already secured their seats so finding an extra £28 for a one off match isn't as difficult as if they had to finance all three in a week.

This is against Premier League opposition so there is likely to be more interest from curious onlookers who could snap up tickets when they go on general sale

And at £28 per ticket, it is still cheaper than the £30 that Pompey charged today so i don't think its over priced

For ease I used copy and paste function between main board and ask the club. If not, maybe just leave a comment which refers to your main post. Thanks

It is a bit high when we are paying £21.52 for a league game

But it's not just the Ticket cost, you have to factor in the transport.

My ST is £460, or £20 per game. Yet my seat for this game is £28.00.

Personally think the club have got this one very wrong.

Standard pricing for league games (although of course tickets aren't available in most areas) so fair and reasonable for a cup tie against premier opposition..

It's not standard pricing. A ticket in the North / South would be £23 normally.

Do you really think that Bruce will bring his first team?

From the team that started today at Liverpool, I'd be very surprised if more than 4 start at Brighton.

Great - chance to turn them over - and I'd certainly pay £24 to be there for that - although on this occasion I shall be stranded in the Lake District.
