Worse is horseradish sauce disguised as bread sauce. I will not be making the same mistake again!
Evil things. They can masquerade as roast potatoes and give you a nasty shock when you bite into them
Roast Leg of Lamb, with Cauliflower Cheese (au gratin for the snobs) Leeks, Honey Coated roast Parsnips, swede, carrotts green beans and peas obviously with Roast Potatoes, must be Maris Piper for crispness, and wife will do yorkies but not for me with Lamb as I am a traditionalist and only have them with beef.
Everything was going so well until this last statement. Why do some people cling to tradition. Change is good.
Yorkies are needed for all roasts - homemade or aunt bessies.
That is the view of the rest of my family but I am happy with just mint sauce with my lamb or sometimes onion sauce.
What is it with bread sauce?
Its like having porridge with your roast.
No not for me.
I agree it seems like a nothing sauce addiing nothing to the meal at all, is that not the reason for a sauce, to add something and compliment a good meal.
