Brittany is very dull and being northern France, weather same as in Brighton . Quite rural and Not many decent restaurants, or nice hotels. lots of hyper markets and full of British visitors looking for a cheap as chips holiday. It is amazing good value if you are happy with basic B and B accommodation.

Head down south if you want something more sophisticated with much better weather.

For a 4 day break, there are lots of much nicer places to go. Seville and Florence come to mind. Surprisingly good value if you avoid going June -to late August .

Horses for courses of course, but I think there are some decent seafood restaurants there. Rennes is pretty cosmopolitan, and lively in the evening.

Utter rubbish except the rural bit. There are loads of decent local restuarants. The good thing about rural France is that you get the real France .... you do need to try and speak the lingo but only a lazy person wouldn't try.

Not forgetting they speak Breton in some rural parts of Brittany. The road signs are in dual language.

I am sure that we will enjoy ourselves and my schoolboy french from 60+ years ago will get us by as it usually does. When we had the pubs we often went to different parts of France Holland and Germany for a few days break but have never been to Brittany to stay only driven through.

The Sun is highest for print circulation, but The Metro and The National are higher for readership.

I get it every Friday. My fish and chips come wrapped in it.

LOL. Not since about 1985 when the ‘elf and safety mob stopped it.......

Did a Sun £9.50 holiday once. Several years ago now (maybe 17/18 years) but....

-the holiday site (in Essex) was a dump
-the accommodation was terrible, properly decaying (looked more like a lock-up garage from the front) and hadn’t been decorated in years
-the place was teeming with feral, uncontrolled kids
-the bar was always mobbed
-there was trouble every night in or outside the bar

Pretty much exactly as I’d predicted when the Mrs booked it [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

The kids entertainment, and evening entertainment was actually OK to be fair

Seemed to me it was basically holiday sites giving away unused capacity in the hope they’d make some money on bar and food sales.

Sounds like Haven

Did it have free van/pick up parking?
