The BBC asked for opinions on who should come and go - these are the answers they printed.

If you could only buy one, sell one, and loan out one player at Brighton, who would you pick? That was the question we asked you to answer, with the transfer window set to open on Friday. Here are some of your thoughts:
Marc: Buy: Kalvin Phillips from Manchester City. Sell: Pascal Gross. Loan: Facundo Buonanotte.

Dan: Buy: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - we have been linked to him for a couple of years and it will be a massive loss if we don't get him. Sell: Jason Steele - then we need to bring in new back-up or promote Tom McGill.

Leon: Buy: Gustavo Hamer from Sheffield United. Sell: Jakub Moder. Loan: Evan Ferguson.

Xavier: Buy: A new striker - Joao Pedro is good but he lacks that clinical edge. Sell: Kaoru Mitoma - this is controversial but, in my opinion, he is overrated. Loan: Odeluga Offiah or Mark O'Mahony - they are both promising youngsters.

Ben: Buy: John McGinn from Aston Villa. Sell: Evan Ferguson. Loan: Facundo Buonanotte.

Have they just picked the controversial ones as they know they'll get "engagement" on the article?

Nothing to update but looks like the transfer window is really starting to heat up. Reported bids for multiple players.... (Midfielders, wingers, young South American starlets - the usual)

Gomez, Yilmaz, Weiffer, Aguire, KDH, Summerville all being talked about...

Tend to think that the KDH one isn’t happening as it’s getting too close to the 30th June deadline, unless Leicester fold and push to sell before the deadline.
If they don’t then they can expect a hefty points deduction for failure to meet PSR measures.

Makes sense to me that if the KDH deal was going to happen it would be sanctioned right at the last minute. They'll want as much cash as possible, so even if we had a £30m deal with them ready to be completed you can be sure Leicester are dragging their heels in the hope that a Chelsea/Spurs come in with a higher bid.

Indeed. This Saturday or Sunday is going to be the only realistic time where we’ll sign him. I’d add Summerville to that too although I’m not quite as certain that Leeds need the cash in this current accounting period.

Talking of squad depth . Albion now have 6 players on the 2024 Golden Boy list of 100 best young players ( a list of best teenage players in the world)
Hinshelwood, Osman, Minteh, Baleba, Ferguson, Buonanotte

With a few recovering from injuries, and a few signed im really liking the look of the forward/wing options we have now. Real strength in depth. If we can focus on a few defensive signings now (defensive mid, right back, and centre back) then we'll have a really solid balanced squad.

You need to take Alzate out from that midfielders list -- as per your 'Players released'. FWIW, Welbeck is now 33 and turns 34 in Nov
Thanks for doing this, much appreciated.

@Bozza - are mentions meant to show up under Alerts? @chaileyjem mentioned me in this post but I didn't get an alert - do I need to turn something on for that to happen?

I know it's probably been covered in other threads but has there been any update on whether Mitoma/March/Hinshelwood/Estupinan/Others are going to be back fit for the new season start ?.
