Just this. Anyone who starts a bed wetting thread should get a ban from NSC and the Amex.

We currently sit 3 points above in our staying up tracker with several sides below their expected target at present. The nature of not being in the top 6 means we are only ever a couple of bad results away from a relegation battle. Look at West Brom, Stoke and Swansea all had established themselves in the premier league and hit poor form and couldn't recover. We will continue to battle relegation for a few more years

Anyone that uses the term ‘bed wetting’ deserves a ban, in my opinion.

There was a short montage on Twitter yesterday which was of our run in the cup so far. If it wasn’t for Locadia we wouldn’t still be in it. Set up Knocky for first against Bournemouth, scored decisive goal against Derby, set up Murray for a 2-1 lead at WBA, scored a beauty to get us back into the game at Millwall.
Also scored a perfectly legitimate winner against Millwall that lino ruled out.

All opinions - I'm not sure, done little to convince me so far, played well for a spell (but looks to offload all the time when wide), then faded form wise (looked good vs Stains when he came on and obviously excelled against Millwall). Probably most comfortable in a different formation.

However, whether he is good enough or not in either of our opinions, the fact is Chris Hughton doesn't seem to fancy him as he's not getting many games, so on that basis should we recoup the money?

I think the problem for Locadia (and CH) is that he can't get a start in his best position due to Murray's goals.
If Murray was made to play wide left, I am sure we wouldn't be too pleased with his contribution.

As I see it, in the position we are generally expecting to be (13th-17th), we need to be realistic about massive overhauls, both from a cost perspective and from the POV of ensuring the squad is gelled together. Look at Fulham this year or Everton last year - huge turnover of players and they struggle to get used to each other, even if you disregard the cost.

Bringing in 3-5 new faces to replace the same number is the order of the day, but doing so with higher quality each time, so they're not just a squad player. A gradual improvement of 1-2 places a season would see us establish ourselves as a mid table club like Leicester, Bournemouth or Watford.

We're set in goal and at centre half - and I don't think we need any new wingers. At the moment they're not creating as much as they could because they're having to help out a lot defensively. If you free their shackles, all four have it in them to create and to score goals - but the balance required is someone else has to fill in defensively.

For me, bringing in two higher quality full backs and at least one "all-rounder" mobile central midfielder would help with that.

Then, with Murray edging closer to the end, we need another striker, and possibly to go big. Andone is a busy, combative option, but we need someone who can get us 10-15 goals a season like Murray has, even when feeding off scraps. Locadia is too inconsistent even though he has quality in him, so I'd ship him out if we could get back a decent amount of what we paid.

A formation change would also help IMO - a compromise between the 4411 and 433 would be a 4231, letting the wingers get higher up the pitch with a bit more freedom, and having a number 10 closer to the striker - yet retaining two sitting midfielders to provide cover when full backs push on.

Depends what you mean by "it". Are they going to win us the league like Sane, Sterling & Mahrez? Of course not. But would you say that any of them COULDN'T chip in half a dozen assists and 3 or 4 goals? Playing well and free of injury, they're all capable.

As per the rest of my comment, half of their shortcomings this year can be traced back to their defensive responsibilities. Strengthening other areas to give them more freedom is more cost effective than, say, selling March and bringing in a new winger for £20m+, who still has to spend 75% of the game defending.

If you assume that at this level, a high quality replacement in any position is going to cost a minimum of 15m, we can only really afford 3-5 new first team players anyway.

Hence I personally don't think out wide is the priority for next summer - maybe January or the year after, yes - but right now our immediate need is upfront and more stability, pace and power in the middle.

Given that the Argentinian lad Alexis McAllister gives us a completely different midfield option while Tudor Baluta has played 3 international matches for Romania you have to expect both of these lads to be in the 2019/20 Prem squad (both are already 20), so which two drop out?

They are both young enough to not be named in next years Premier League squad. For the 2019/20 season an under 21 will be anyone born on or after January 1st 1998. Mac Allister was born 24th December 1998, so has one more season as an under 21. Baluta was born 27th March 1999 so has 2 more seasons as an under 21.

Also we don't have to replace anyone at the moment. We only named a 23 man squad after the January window so we currently have 2 spaces in the squad. Although quite a few of the current under 23's would need to be named in the squad next season if we wanted to use them in the Premier League.

Our playing staff has always been relative to our own budget no matter which league we are playing in. The amount of money we have spent in the last couple of years is unprecedented by our standards, but just a drop in the Ocean compared with established Premier teams.
You can spend beyond our dreams and get instant success like Wolves or overspend and not gel much like Fulham.
Little by little, required more patience but becomes more achievable over time being in the Premier league with its financial rewards.

Sadly if we lose on Saturday, our season will be a failure in some eyes, we are in one of the strongest leagues in the World where even the top teams can have bad runs. just look at Manchester United's early form, with their playing budget.
So pre season when the fixtures are announced you would take a 3.0 defeat by Chelsea as improvement because it wasn't a humiliating score line. So they score sublime goals and we start whining how crap we are, Really?
Like anyone else I get frustrated to see us get close to the opponents penalty area only to see the ball pretty much going back to our penalty area.
The backbone of many a great team has been its defence, so we are going in the right direction, eventually, maybe we won't have to rely on being a counter attacking side.
A lot of our goals conceded stem from losing posession or a bad square or back pass from our midfield. Wether that is due to lack of pace, skill or confidence. I don't know (seems many on here believe they do).
As to the manager, I personally think he is doing well and think he is a honest genuine guy, still working with a lot smaller budget than most other sides. Guess it's human nature to think that there is always someone better for the job, just look at some of those big names that have been sacked over the last few years (or forever if the truth is known).
We wear Blue and White because of the love of our City and our team and the immense pride it gives us. We wear Blue and White not necessarily on our backs, but in our hearts.
So apologies for calling some plastics, on reflection you are just too new to this rollercoaster ride that we love so much.
For those old timers that know it all, whose opinion is always the right one, you should know better. Or is it too easy to make negative (look at me with my 1000's) posts hiding behind the anominity of your user names?

Do you honestly think Izzy, Knocky and Solly are up to it?

Of the four specialist wingers, for me:
-- jury's very much out on Jahanbakhsh; he deserves another season to show what he's up to
-- Izquierdo was probably our best player in the second half of last season; if he can recover from his injury properly, he is very much up to it
-- March needs to improve his execution, and up his goals scored, assists from open play, and delivery of passes, key balls especially in the final third. He also needs to believe himself a bit more and be more willing to take on defenders. Beyond that, he has so many positive attributes.
-- Knockaert, I'm just not convinced at this level. He's too emotional, and this leads to him making bad decisions, and there's not enough of his undoubted positive ability to make up for this to me. On top of that, his defending is comfortably inferior to March's -- see what happened with Chelsea's first goal just minutes after he'd come on as one example.

Collectively, the wingers have been disappointing this season, although that is in part injury related.
