We don't know the state of his injury. Do you? It is expected that he would be fine by June. I don't think his injury would deter potential suitors from showing concrete interest in him this summer. Besides, one assumes that any transfer talks with potential suitors would have commenced well before the injury.

Naylor reported this week that the potential Summer tour to Japan is somewhat on hold because it's not yet known if Mitoma could play a part in it due to his injury.

Every season near the end we have a thread like this , every year its the same doom and gloom merchants predicting failure in buying and selling players, they cost too much, want too much for wages, we wont get a fee, they wont want to stay, blah blah etc. Every year, certainly in recent seasons, they consistently get it wrong and we manage to do OK. The back injury was mid Feb. The one from December was picked up during the Palace game but not serious enough to keep him out of Asia cup.

I'd like us to keep Sarmiento Undav and bring in Rushworth as Barts shadow.

Steele,Milner,Webster, probably let go though Webster will come good again for somebody else.

If RDZ stays I reckon he'll be given a tidy budget and we'll bring in one very well known midfielder a striker and 3 more punts for development.

I can see another golden oldie coming in to replace the experience lost so probably Zaha or Pritchard.

Hmmm, the way TB quoted to have said indicates that the club has some difficulty in organizing their East Asia Tour because they have to fit in with other clubs' schedules. "It would be wonderful if the club could arrange a match in Japan while Mitoma is around." Not sure what precisely TB meant, but pretty sure that his injury concern would not be the cause of delay.

Fair point. Looks majestic as he opens up his legs and shows his class but then ruins all the good work nearly every time.

I really, really want to believe in Baleba. He is a physical, fast, box to box player, but I worry about his first (second and third) touch and his passing ability.
If those elements can be improved by next season we have a winner. If they can't we have a CMS.

Fishing, shirley? I can envisage Zaha as diving coach but what could Pritchard possibly offer except the directions to Norwich?

Gross is statistically one of the best midfielders in the EPL. RDZ has ruined him the last few games. He will be one of the first on the team sheet if he stays next season .

I think the issue with Gross is finding the right place to play him.

I'm not convinced he's the right profile for RDZ's double pivot as i don't think he defends the space well enough & his lack of pace means we can't break quickly if he is in the 10.

But, he is simply too good not to have in the starting 11. I actually quite liked him in the sort of right back/free role that he played in at times last season, but we can't do that without very good DM's & Left back.

we know it's enough to keep him out for multiple months. I'd be wary of spending in excess of £50m for a player that has just comeback from a serious back injury.

I would never rule out accepting an offer we can't refuse, but I think the limited pool of teams who would be in the market for Mitoma would probably be able to get their winger needs elsewhere

I think he’s incredibly average and over rated. A weak link in the side. I know that’s not a popular opinion with some fans as he’s a busy player who plays a lot of safe, un-productive passes so some think he’s better than he really is. He offers nothing productive from an attacking point of view and absolutely nothing defensively. Physically weak and no pace. We can do a lot better.
