Seems now likely to start the season in goal, Kuipers injured until least Ipswich game and that being the case having missed least three weeks of pre-season surely unlikely to start in first game

Hope he gets his chance, as would be good to see one of our young keepers get a chance.

From what i have seen of him, he isn't any worse than Michel so either way will find out if he can make the grade

I think that Sullivan has looked very competant in the friendlies and is always shouting at his defence in a constructive manner not just 'Away' as we heard last season.

Let's hope Sullivan does more than make a good impression in the next few games, and goes on to start the season as number one.

At least then, after a couple of weeks not playing, Kuipers may once again throw his rattle out of his pram, and finally f*** off!:glare::cool::bigwave:

For me, Sullivan was nervous and quite poor today. I hope he improves.
I think he will. You've got to remember he's still very very young for a gooalkeeper, and he knows he's not going to get another oppertunatey like this for a while, so he's bound to be a little nervous. I think that fact Micky Adams hasn't got, and doesn't look like getting another keeper in yet, suggests he sees something in him. Hopefully he'll settle down in the week, and put in a good performance against Charlton, and cement his place in the starting line up at Crewe.

I know he's young and I know he will get better, but he looked like a fish out of water today. Most young players show a decent level of natural ability, but Sullivan flapped, parried and spilled today. If Kuipers is fit he must play, simple as that.

Okay, but I think Sullivan will be judged on his performance pre-season over all. Adam's won't play Kuipers, just because he's Kuipers, and I'm sure if Kuiprs does lose his place, old Micky boy won't stand for any of Kuipers' attiude, when things don't go his way.

Mind you, you can't blame Sullivan for flapping parring and spilling stuff. After all he's trained with Kuipers for so long, he probably thinks thats the way to do it!:D

Most of the people I've spoken to think that as well. But you've got to be careful with comments like that in some corners of NSC. People don't like to hear how well a keepers doing at the club, unless his name is Kuipers of course:bla::bla:

Equally some people can't see a good thing when it's in front of them, Kuipers is a good keeper and is rightly our first choice, and a hope he continues to be for a long time to come.

Sullivan did have some poorer moments against Lewes, he failed to do some things that are basic fundamentals of goalkeeping, there were several times where he should have been able to hold the ball, but only managed to parry it way a short distance, and back into dangerous areas. (maybe it was just as a result of early pre-season play) Hopefully this is something that he can improve on quickly, and therefore be able to provide decent cover if Kuipers gets injured / suspended.
