Seems now likely to start the season in goal, Kuipers injured until least Ipswich game and that being the case having missed least three weeks of pre-season surely unlikely to start in first game
kuipers apparently hasn't missed training.....only matches
sullivan is getting the chance to prove he can cover and save us money
good news all round

Hoping this is true but I doubt we're that lucky!!
Although, when the hell are we meant to be playing Ipswich??

I think he will. You've got to remember he's still very very young for a gooalkeeper, and he knows he's not going to get another oppertunatey like this for a while, so he's bound to be a little nervous. I think that fact Micky Adams hasn't got, and doesn't look like getting another keeper in yet, suggests he sees something in him. Hopefully he'll settle down in the week, and put in a good performance against Charlton, and cement his place in the starting line up at Crewe. For me, Sullivan was nervous and quite poor today. I hope he improves.

Okay, but I think Sullivan will be judged on his performance pre-season over all. Adam's won't play Kuipers, just because he's Kuipers, and I'm sure if Kuiprs does lose his place, old Micky boy won't stand for any of Kuipers' attiude, when things don't go his way.I know he's young and I know he will get better, but he looked like a fish out of water today. Most young players show a decent level of natural ability, but Sullivan flapped, parried and spilled today. If Kuipers is fit he must play, simple as that.
Most of the people I've spoken to think that as well. But you've got to be careful with comments like that in some corners of NSC. People don't like to hear how well a keepers doing at the club, unless his name is Kuipers of courseI think that Sullivan has looked very competant in the friendlies and is always shouting at his defence in a constructive manner not just 'Away' as we heard last season.
