This. Those that are moaning, have they not noticed the teams we've been putting out in the cups for the last few years. Add in that we were playing on a Wed rthat than Tuesday with Chelsea away on Saturday.

I went but really didn't expect any different from the team selection.

Other than the fact Potter fielded a far stronger team in the last round, you’ve made a great point.

Yeah quite right what a ****!

He does have a point, reading between the lines of your OP thats exactly what you wanted an away game that you can easily get to without putting in the work others have to get first dibs on tickets.

No that isn't what I think at all to be honest.
I "put in" a reasonable amount of effort in comparison to many home only fans.
I probably spend close to £700 a year on travel for games, but fully respect that is small beer compared to many of the truly dedicated fans, who rightly get first dibs.

I get to as many London games as I can and tbh it is a lot easier for me as a Season ticket Owner than it would be for other fans who don't have one.
With the spurs game being on boxing day, I have a decent chance of getting a ticket this time. It Isn't a whinge to get something I'm not really entitled to.
I daresay there are some far more deserving fans, who live further away than me, who only go to a few home games and Northern away games - who have no chance of getting their hands on a "premium" away day ticket.

I was just musing on the concept of what really is the point of loyalty points for the cup games..., when many of the "faithful" gave it a swerve.
I always feel disappointed when I see the ground half full and was thinking about options to boost interest in the "Mickey Mouse" cups.

Probably got a bit carried away with the idea of a one off loyalty points boost.
The answer is, of course, treat it like a truly competitive fixture and people will pay to see it.
