From the Arabian Sea to London is an approx 5,500 miles longer voyage without the canal.
I realise these ships are massive, but the fact that only 50 ships represent a third of the world's container ship traffic seems a low number to me.

The ship behind just needs to give it a nudge. Problem solved.
Looks like the ship behind it is now heading back out of the canal. So unfortunatly looks like they have given that idea a miss.

Apparently using old reserve channel to lessen the load, didn't know they had one. For the amount of traffic trade the canal generates they should look at dualing it, guess more chance of dualing the A27 than that....
