Add to this Lee Anderson being paraded in front of the masses to complain that in his youth poor families were a lot more resourceful, and you have the complete package.

It's unbelievable that Anderson thinks that pulling together equates to people who visit food banks being more thrifty. While hedge fund managers run off with your pension fund losses and Trussonomics entirely derails the economy with attempted tax cuts for the rich, the Tory Party chairman is put in place to appeal (and attempt to grow) and right wing working class that hates immigrants and turns its ire on itself.

When will people wake up!?

Those people desperately crossing the channel are not responsible for the gulf between the haves and have nots in this country. They are not responsible for the lack of growth, investment or fair equity in the UK.

Being able to cook a meal for your family for 30p is NOT a badge of honour!

From the arrogance of Rees Mogg to the bullying of Anderson, this government is corrupt to the core.
Being able to cook a meal for your family for 30p is NOT a badge of honour! - Spot on

I think the reverse. All the Tories jumping up and down about Gray are just reminding everyone of the parties
would like to hope so but there appears to be a goldmine of nuggets showing how he and other ministers thought in those messages and they are not todays talking point.

I would love to hear which parts of Sue Grays report the Mail and Tory headbangers wish to claim are inaccurate, in the light of her now having some political alignment with a centrist version of Labour.

No. No he wouldn't.

But @Wokeworrier would

Au contraire! I believe Sue Gray would make a welcome addition to the NSC moderating team, raising standards, bringing a much needed injection of diversity, integrity, impartiality etc ... she's probably to the right of most of the current crop anyway

Back on topic. Michael Crick, hardly a fanboy of the Tories, thinks its a bad appointment by Labour/Starmer ...

I mean, they could have appointed Dido Harding or some other incompetent idiot.

The most curious thing..
Civil Servants are entitled to have political opinions like everyone else.

But can somebody please shut Nadine Dorres up. That incessant whining.

OK. Interesting. A bit like the gardening leave that Ashworth was forced to endure before becoming head of bar-coding. Except that Gray is not swapping a job with one team for the same job with an opponent of the first team.

Should be interesting to see how Sunak decides to maximize political mileage out of this, then.
My opinion

It’s a shrewd move by Starmer - showing efficiency and professionalism

Sunak’s best move would be to sweep it under the carpet even applaud it….
“Contrary to speculation we will not be enforcing the 3 month period of gardening leave but will wave it in order that she can take up her new position immediately and we wish her well”

Next point of business please

Do NOT get caught up in any “Borisness” !!!

A good old fashioned whips office would have got wind of this in advance and had a news story ready to roll out and smother it

Do you think Sue Gray would have banned JC Football Genuis?

Mogg, Dorries and Johnson.

Will Sunak join them, or ditch them?

That will depend on how they are polling in the country - Sunak is areal political animal and quietly he’s actually a heavyweight.

Go to YouTube and look for Sunak arriving at Conservative HQ the day he won the leadership…. The most exquisite snubbing of Hancock on the steps !! Made all the more impressive because as the news kept going to HQ to anticipate his arrival Hancock was constantly mentioned. Less than a week later he announced he was going in the jungle- my thinking being Sunak knew he was off and because his polling was low, assuming Hancocks jungle episode was about re introducing himself

i'm more concerned the fact that since she stated she's not standing for re-election (knowing she would be humuliated and lose her deposit anyway) she thinks she doesn't need to bother being an MP and serve her constituents and pursue a TV career while still pocketing her MP's salary.

JC Footy Genius isn't banned. His last temp ban ended in March 2022 thanks to the racking up of two temp bans worth of warning points.

Of course, these points don't go on to a new user ID. Perhaps, someone who wanted to rid themselves of said warning points and start again might just start a new account ???

And.....it would be impossible to identify them from the style, tone and relentlessness of their asthenic, nescient, footling one-eyed posts.....
