You can try all you like, but you can't polish a turd.
Oh I don't know
You can try all you like, but you can't polish a turd.
I don't think "loads" of other clubs do it, do they?
You occasionally hear of that sort of gesture, usually when it's an important game, or has previously been postponed/abandoned in deeply annoying circumstances. But it's by no means a regular thing.
Loads of premiership clubs do it.
Loads of premiership clubs do it.
I'd like someone name these 'loads of Premiership clubs' that do this

I'm told Chelsea do it pretty regularly.
I've never actually been to Hull, either the city or the ground.
I'm desperate to get the day off work so I can go and see if it's as good as people say
The subsidised coach travel that Premier League clubs provide to some games is because each club receives £200k from the PL to promote cheap travel and ticket deals to keep the fans happy.
This might explain it.

It's bloody great that the Premier League have offered this sort of support, as if there are any clubs in the country who need a little financial assistance in order to make a nice gesture to their fans, it's the ones who receive more cash from Sky than any others in the world. Great stuff.
Hull is genuinely home to two of the best places in the world:
Spiders
and the Museum of Club Culture
and The Deep, which has got millions of sharks and weird fish. And almost all the pubs still charge less than £3 a pint.
Any wordsmiths out there care to draft a well constructed e-mail to Mr Barber suggesting this ?
I'm simply saying it's not a regular thing by any means.
And Premier League clubs get millions and millions in TV money. They can afford to spend a few grand on coaches for their- ahem- long suffering supporters every now and again.
It would be lovely if the Albion did something like that for this game. But I just can't see it happening unfortunately.
We can only hope.
