I’d love for fouls in the box where there was no clear goal-scoring opportunity (e.g player with back to goal, moving away from goal inside the edge of the box) to be indirect free-kicks.

I was against this but have grown to like the idea as it favours the team in possession. Also, if you do this and are tackled by someone who is within 10 yrds then they get a booking (unlike last night!)
How would the not tackling work? Would it be you can't tackle the first kick or you can't tackle at all if you're inside 10 yards?

If it's the latter you run the risk of a free kick on the edge of the box basically being able to be dribbled well into the box unimpeded as half the defending team were within 10 yards of the foul.

1) An independent time keeper where the minutes can be seen on the big screen with the rugby rule that after time is up the game stops when the ball is next out of play.
2) remove handballs for when the ball is blasted at the player from two yards
3) allow any alcoholic drinks purchased up to kick off to be consumed in seat
4) Throw VAR in the bin
