Not sure I fully understand the logic of this appointment?

Taking over as manager on the 1st of July he won't know if Forest will be a Premiership club or still in the Championship!

What affect will this have on the current regime knowing someone else will be manager whatever happens.

I think there's a good manager in Stuart Pearce somewhere, and I won't be surprised if he gets them up next season. That said, I won't be too surprised if he doesn't. Interesting recruitment anyway.

His record with the England U21's and the British Olympic football team wasn't a stand out one, and the only advantage he has is that he may draw some really good British players into Forest with his charm.

Still has a lot to prove so I'm with you on this.

Very much in the wait and see cateegory for me. Running an international under 21s team is very different from a day-to-day club job. Time will tell. In that respect it's a risk but his heart is in the club so if he does turn out to cut the mustard then it will be a very good appointment. I honestly don't have a clue how he'll do and I'm sure it isn't just me thinking that.

Can't see that one either but I suspect so. One of my best mates is a Derby fan, and he loves the story.

I can assure you that I am far from stupid but I do not rate Pearce at all and think he is a coaching dinosaur. We'll see who is the stupid one next season won't we.

it wasn't too shabby, got to the U21 finals in 2009 and his win rate was in the 50%'s. actually that's pretty decent.
