Confirmed on Argus website. Excellent signing imho!
Albion are signing pacey Charlton striker Stuart Fleetwood on a month's loan.
He is expected to go straight into the side against Millwall at Withdean on Saturday and will be with the Seagulls initially until the game at Oldham on December 6.
Fleetwood has spent the last month on loan with Cheltenham, scoring twice in seven matches for Martin Allen's League One strugglers.
Albion boss Micky Adams said, "Stuart is someone we have tracked for a while. He has a decent record when it comes to goalscoring at all the levels he has played at, and his main asset is his pace."
Fleetwood began his career with Cardiff before moving to Hereford United and Forest Green Rovers, where he excelled last season with 28 goals to top the Blue Square Premier scoring chart.
He moved to Charlton in the summer after turning down a new deal with Rovers at the end of last season but is yet to break into the first team at the Valley.
In addition to the above, he had an illness during his time at Hereford and when Rovers signed him he was unfit and a bit of a risk, however the manager saw something in him and was willing to take a chance by giving him a one year contract.
As a player he is pretty entertaining, he scored most of his goals running onto a ball that was played along the ground then taking on the last defender and the keeper, he was usually successful in hitting the target. However, despite his speed and agility on the ground he isn't that hot in the air, if anyone from the club is reading this please take note...keep the ball on the ground and he will score goals, lob it over the top and it will be a waste of effort.
Thought the name seemed familiar so done a search and realised he was the guy that a few people wanted us to sign in January after he was linked with a few Championship and League One clubs whilst he was scoring goals for fun for Forest Green.
