Our stirkers as follows

Murray
Forster 35
Owusu 32
Hart 32
Davies
Gargan

If we stay up then i cannot help but feel we need to release one or two of them to either free up wages for one decent striker or strengthen the midfield.Hart has been a true legend and a big hit these last few games but do you honestly believe we should be giving him another year? I'm tempted to give Lloyd another year as we need a powerfull man in our ranks.I would probably get rid of Gargan as well.Do we need 3 strikers in there 30's playing for us next season?

If you're good enough you're young enough.

If this year is anything to go by, at least three of the six in the list are likely to be injury-prone next season, so six doesn't appear to be an excessive number.

We have the one class striker in this division, in fact when fit we have 2 Forster and Murray. The wages aspect is not a concern of the fans as nobody knows what the players earn, but I would assume that it is within the budget that the board have set as being a viable propostition for us to pay out.

I would like us to sign Dicker as the midfield general and perhaps looking at revamping that area with not so many loanees.

If we can afford them, and they all want to stay (which isn't certain) then I would have to say yes...a choice of Forster, Murray and Owusu up front is a luxury of talent that we haven't had in years...have to admit that I know little of Davies and haven't seen him play...OGH would willingly die for the Albion and I always hoped that he might become a coach for us, he must be worth some sort of deal for next year, given his impact at the arse end of the season.

Keep the following.

Davies
Forster
Murray
Owusu

Hart could be kept as a utility man?

If Hart keeps is current form he should be starting every game next season, i agree we ought to keep them all because 3 of them at least are clearly injury prone, davies might not be popular but im pretty sure hes played more consecutive matches than many of our players this season

Gargan is the young one coming through and won't eat up much of the wage bill. As for the others - we have needed them all this year, and may well do again next year! Whether we can keep that many of them happy though is another thing altogether.

Gargan will be costing us next to nothing.

It is hard not to see Hart and Owusu being offered new deals.

If we are going to reduce our striker numbers we will need to pull out of the reserve league. By entering the reserve league we commit ourselves to the fixtures, which is why we need players that may not be first team regulars. Many Pemiership/championship teams have pulled out of reserve leagues for this reason. There is no point reducing down to 4 strikers if we then get 2 injuries and struggle to commit to all our fixtures (reserve, youth, first team).

I just wanted to point out an obvious factor that normally isn't considered in these type of threads.

Are Owusu and Davies actually our's, or do they go back somewhere at the end of the season? We also have to consider that Forster and Murray may just be able to put in a season between them, if we're lucky, so probably we should look to be keeping them all - Hart is worth another season, we've seen that ever since he's been allowed in the first team again. Hart and Davies have also shown that they can do jobs for us in other positions (right midfield, for example, and even right back at a pinch in Haty's case). It's worth keeping Gargan - it is good to bring young players up through the ranks. We'll get nothing if we let him go now, no return on our investment, so let's see what he can do - either be a good striker for the Albion, or at least someone we can get a few quid for.

hart hasn't scored a goal so far as a striker - although he has stated that he wants to play up front, that isnt going to happen if the murray and forster get fit. therefore, it wouldnt suprise me to see him playing as more of a wide man next season due to the amount of assists he has since coming into the team, especially as the majority of them have come from crosses. month to month contract or pay as you play

owusu and davies are perfect back up for forster and murray, especially given their injury records this season. if gargan was going to make an impact, you would think he would have done so by now, as he is into his second year on a pro contract with only one sub appearance to his name

Obviously we have to keep Murray and Forster, as they have to be our starting pair from what I've seen this season.

I would give Hart another season from the last 6 games or so.

Davies should also stay (obviously he will with his contract) and I think he could prove to be an important player for us next season.

Owusu should be given a contract as he has so far been excellent for us.

That would give us four quality strikers in this division (5 if you include Hart), and that is the kind of strike force we need if we are looking to get out of this league (at the right end!).

We have to stay up first of course, so a win next week is paramount.

If our injuries next year are anything like this season's, then we will be needing all of them!
