As James the pro dancer with Cheri Lunghi pointed out this a dance competition not a popularity poll. John Sergeants continuance has made this now a laughing stock and an embarrasement. I think that he should be 'injured' next week and remove himself from the contest so that it regains some credibillity. 2 far better dancers have been dumped and more will follow so much so I think that it will put the continuance of the show in its present format in doubt. This will upset mine and many more wives i would think.

Great to watch those judges squirm

Why? They are dance experts who have been asked to judge on DANCING programme. Why should they be made to squirm? JS is clearly hopeless at dancing but that shouldn't get in the way of childish, self-indulgent, "look what we can do", viewer-power, should it?

It is an evening ENTERTAINMENT programme.

Based on a dance contest. How is seeing a lumbersome cart horse making a spectacle of him self more entertaining than warching people who have practiced and are dancing to the best of their ability and trying to do things right rather than act like an elephant on heat.

I think they have been very unprofessional in their condemnation of John. They deserve all they get. I laugh at the BBC they stuck John in so that we could all laugh at the old fat bloke. Guess who is laughing now

Think John has put in quite a few hours training more than some of the others.

Because he does not take himself, or the show, too seriously and puts a smile on peoples' faces.

Is the idea of the show not to see who is the best dancer?

He puts a smile on my face because he's a good bloke who is putting the effort in to try to dance. But I lose the smile when other far, far better dancers go out. For me, it then completely ceases to be entertainment.

It's not Strictly Come Let's Find the Nicest Bloke.

The public voting is now VERY, VERY childish.

What's unprofessional about saying he's the worst dancer? HE IS.
