Not Luton! Thank God
I think the BBC are probably loving it. The BBC have got a dancing show (you know the one hosted by Graham Norton) and noone watches. Strictly is an entertainment show. John Sargeant is being entertaining, the public like him and so keep voting for him. I don't think he'll win. The public will tire of him and he'll get in the bottom 2 one of these times and he'll go out.

I bet you the viewing figures are up. Massive amounts of publicity. Sure they are laughing

That's exactly what I meant, but I'm not sure why I typed it like that :D

Now edited.

It's one of their big brands (alongside Top Gear and Doctor Who) and yes, you're right - this publicity is good for the show.

And..? So the others aren't giving it their best shot?

I don't know a lot about each celebrity on the show but taking Tom as an actor he would have had some dance training. So its a lot easier for him. Even that rugby bloke has fitness on his side. John is a hero to us old fat blokes:thumbsup:

Makes me wonder if they could afford to lose him. Could you imagine the viewing figures if he made it to the final

A hero by being worse than anyone else? Can't see the entertainment in that at all.

It is an evening ENTERTAINMENT programme.

Sargeant is more entertaining than most of the other D-listers on that show.

exactly. if people want to go see a proper contest of dancing skill and quality, they shouldnt rely on the votes of the public who mostly know f*** all about ball room dancing.

Haven't they already changed the voting rules on Strictly a series or two back to take power away from the public?

Earlier in this series when there were words about racism being displayed by the great British public, as the black contestants kept being in the bottom 2, I'm sure I read something that said the public vote used to be the be all and end all. So it got changed to the current format whereby the judges still get to kick someone off.
