As far as I'm concerned Peterborough is just north of Preston Park although somehow I doubt the beeb will look at it that way.

I know you can listen to 'regular' Radio Sussex via the BBC website (if you're REALLY bored), but can you listen to the footie commentaries? If not, anyone know of a London station that might be doing a commentary? I live in Beckenham / Sydenham, so definitely in Eagles territory and in the area for a local radio station.

No, for contractual reasons they don't put football commentaries out via the Internet.

Excellent! I've just checked the listings and it's "live and uninterrupted" apparently but I'm sure they'll break off the commentary every time anything of remote interest happens in the European games.

So why would contractual reasons cause the BBC Sussex internet stream to be blocked but not the R5Live Extra stream?

Probably because the local team football deal only covers broadcast within a specified area whereas the five live deal covers all the UK.

Still seems pretty dumb though.
