Nothing more interesting than Wales for me, but my brother saw someone wearing a centenary shirt coming out of a guided tour of a mine in Spain a year or two back.

Well, considering there was a match on TV, and it was announced and planned, it wasn't all that strange really. Random guy shouting "SEAGULLLS!" at me across a street in Aberystwyth (sp) was, a bit..

Quite a few for me actually.

1. I was in majora in may 2005 on holiday . We decided to go and see real majorca V real bettis in the final spanish league game of the season. We bought tickets from a tout, and when we got inside The section where we were sitting there were loads of english football fans (the touts must have targeted that particular area). As i was looking around, low and behold there was some bloke sitting with his wife wearing an Albion shirt. (it wasnt a replica shirt, but quite a trendy shirt with the albion badge on it). He then noticed me in my maroon albion shirt and we got chatting about all things BHA.

2. Again in Majorca, but ten years earlier (1995) I was sitting at a table of an outdoor resaurant, when across the road I saw a guy walking along with the blue and white Sandtex shirt on. Much to everyones bemusement I shouted "seagulls" and the bloke just looked round and smiled.:lolol:

And finally, again in spain, i went to Ibiza with an ex mate of mine in 2003 and one day we decided to go across the other side of the island on a boat trip. As we were boarding, the English guy who ran the trips noticed my shirt and again we got chatting. he wasnt really a fan, but he just lived in brighton(somwhere near Brunswick square I think) and he was Pro- falmer.
It also turned out that one of our holiday reps was an Albion fan to.

Sorry to bore everyone.

Might not sound THAT peculiar, but recently (February'ish time), I went to the Isle of Wight on tour with the string ensemble I'm in and it was infact the day of last season's home game against Watford. We were on the train heading back to England and to my amazement, an Albion fan got on with a ticket for the game. I didn't talk to him though, due to the fact that many of my non-football supporting friends were present:blush:

Met a couple on a hike up a mountain just outside Hanoi in Northern Vietnam. On the way back to Hanoi realised that they were both season ticket holders at Withdean! Next time I saw them was away at Swindon in the first leg of the Play Offs when I was very very drunk.:drink:

Torremolinos (sp) in a disco at 2 in the morning, drunk, and I was wearing a Real Betis top, but had been spotted earlier in my Brighton (sorry Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club) top. Circa 1996 ish.

Also on a Train between Boston and Montreal, got asked if I was campaigning for a political party (no idea about football - bless)? With NOBO across my chest I should have been campaigning on a joint ticket of Baker and Bellotti !!!

At the foot hills of the Himalayas whilst preparing base camp for our 1st attempt at the North west face of Everest.
He was one of our sherpas and was wearing a original British caladonian shirt. I asked him had he seen the 83 cup final as he was wearing the shirt and he replied that he had and still could`nt believe Smith missed that sitter. Apparently there is a small village in Nepal where all the inhabitants are named after ex Albion players and they follow all the brighton games.
As we left I gave him some biscuits and he told me his name was Sherpa Napier.

Sydney Australia at a ashes match in 1999. f***ing loads of Brighton fans, all gathered behind one of the site screens. There was a Palace fan nearby looking like he needed a shit. We far out numbered any other team that day........... except maybe England.

Just got back from Faliraki.... yeah yeah okay 'guilty' lol

But yeah there was this bar there called Georges and two of the barstaff were from Brighton, it was so weird when we unwittingly churned out some Albion songs and the geezer behind the bar joined in - if any of you lot are out in Rhodes this summer you should pop down there.

Erm, where else.... ah yeah... at last year's Benacassim festival in Spain, although I don't think they were genuine Albion fans.
