Not met as such, but converted a little kid into an Albion fan in Malawi. If you are ever in that neck of the woods and you see a chap wearing a (Man Utd style) Sandtex shirt then you know how it happened.

Not Brighton fans, but I did end up having a very interesting chat with a couple of Plymouth fans in the middle of Toys R Us in Times Square, New York, back in March 2004.

We got chatting based on the fact that I was wearing a Brighton shirt at the time, and seeing as we'd played them not long before (we won, I think), we had a nice little chat, much to the bemusement of many passing Sepos who didn't seem to understand too many words of what was being said.
