Are Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United the only teams who run out to an anthem that is truly about their region ? (ie Sussex by the Sea and The Blaydon Races)

Both Everton and Watford still do. Apparently, the tune comes from an old Liverpool folk song. No idea why Watford use it though.

Next up, the Liquidator by Chelsea? And the terror-inducing Red Red Robin, down at Charlton.

Indeed it was an old Liverpool Folk song called Johnny Todd, so Everton have every right to use it. Whether they did before it became the Z-cars theme I don’t know, but I doubt it, because no one outside Liverpool would have known it, I would think.

Except Newcastle don’t - they run out to the theme tune from Local Hero, a film about oil exploration in Scotland!

I'm sure I remember one London team running out to "London Calling". Can't remember which though.

At the end of my tether
Last time I saw a match broadcast from WBA I could not miss the painted sign on the stand proclaiming “The Lord Is My Shepherd” .. Apparently the hymn is a club anthem.
Seems disrespectful to me to turn it into a football song......

Loads of teams use "In the house in a heartbeat" from the film 28 Days Later, not to run out to but in the pre-match build up. The hanging scene music from Plunkett and Macleane also pops up a lot, including at the Amex.

Drink Up Thy Cider by the Wurzels is played at Ashton Gate and sung by Bristol City fans.
I think the stadium plays it after a home win. It has not been played for a while!

Notts County use a really odd one called The Wheelbarrow Song - quite impressive when they had bigger gates and everyone was singing.

Aston Villa play Sweet Caroline . Very original. At least they don’t play goal music I suppose.

Others I am aware of:

Norwich - On the ball City
Coventry - Eton boating song
Birmingham - Keep right on to the end of the road

The last one started in 1956 during a run to the cup final so must be one of the oldest adopted by a team, but Norwich’s might be even older.

Rangers fans singing the Shakira World Cup song for their Zambian striker, Fashion Jr.

Which is now being sung by Leicester for their Zambian, Patson Daka

Enock Mwepu next?

I've heard my son's lot trying this one out for Mwepu after hearing Leicester do it. Not sure it fits too well. Imitation/flattery etc
