As someone who as work for 3 different NHS trusts in IT, I would strongly disagree.

What do you base your comment on?

Some of the examples my daughter has explained - for example, transferring patients to another hospital (30 miles away) and having no means of transferring files electronically, HR systems and those for booking shifts being ineffective…….

Anyone here have Strand Medical as their GP surgery?

If so, have you been invited for your booster with them?

My mum (76) and aunt (68) haven't been and I can't believe they haven't reached their cohort yet. Their attempts to speak to someone have just been brushed away with "we'll contact you when it's your turn".

I was sent an invite from Broadwater surgery, with an option for the Strand or St Lawrence. Have they tried phoning their surgery direct? Can’t believe they’ve been missed, but I assume it can happen.

Thanks everyone.

I suggested they go to the surgery this morning and just politely say they've not had an invite yet. They took them both straight in and got them done.

Marvellous! generally, the NHS staff on the ground are incredibly helpful. It's just the systems and comms that they mess up on.
