His genetics excuse for the Scots not being as big as other nations was quite laughable to be honest.

He did a pretty good job of making a silk purse from a pig's ear.

Couldn't see anyone doing any better with that group of players.

Will they go down the foreign route for a manager, like England did a while back.
Get rid of the old guard and give the youth a chance.

Gutted that it didn't work out. I was calling for him to go after the last qualification campaign but I think he was improving. You can only p!ss with the c0ck you have. I simply can't see us getting anyone of the quality required to get us to a tournament. I had heard whispers of big Sam…..
Thankfully club football is back this weekend and there is still hope for the Irish.

Awful tactician reckon Hughton would of got the result they needed in that last game, Once ahead he would of packed the middle of the park they were getting over run in the midfield second half.

I do wonder if he had already decided he was going. See the whole interview. I suspect that 'what can we do, get big men and women together ?' may have been less than entirely serious.

He also pointed out how small Spain are

The genetic comment did for him. It's bad enough getting knocked out but planting seeds of doubt for future campaigns is not helpful.
