Really don't think summer's been that bad personally. Unsettled days here and there and not scorchio (bar parts of June) but lots of sun and pleasantly warm temps. Certainly would rather be here than southern Europe at the moment!

Yes, my son is in Turkey where it is 46 degs today.

Thought the gales were a bit of a damp SQUIB for most of the day, but it seemed to properly kick off around 6. I've just got back from a stroll along the prom by the lagoon, and blimmin' eck, I nearly lost me syrup. Got covered in some white salty FROTH on the way back as well, so all in all a worthwhile trip.

There are two yapping small dogs at a house about ten doors up that yap in tandem most nights...not heard a peep out of them tonight.

I'm so excited as I'm going home on the 2300 hours cross channel ferry from Newhaven tomorrow. It was a pleasant 31 degrees where I live in France today.
