A major storm has blown through the UK over night with winds gusting in excess of 100 MPH and plenty of damage throughout the country, and what does the Argus report !I

A RAGING storm battered the coast in parts of Sussex last night.

Storm Eleanor sent waves crashing over the promenade at Hove seafront causing a moped to fall on its side.!!

Steady guys brace yourselves !!

Seemed an anti climax around here.... East Sussex coast. After winding up my wife with my forecasts of destruction and wanting to batten everything down, we awoke to a reasonable day....

Non event overall but the need to generate shock and horror news the BBC went to Northern Ireland to see one tree being cut up on a country lane and a few wooden electric poles being replaced.

Same crap last week when they kept showing some bint on a bridge with a close up of frozen foot prints in the snow.
