Well said Hiney. Must admit if I had one gripe today ( apart from our performance ) we really could have done with Guy Butters on the bench today. The defence seemed in a right panic after conceding 2 early goals and we really could've done with him coming off the bench and adding an old head to calm things down.

Got flu I think BB

Stop making excuses.

IT doens't matter about what we thought at the beginning of the season. At the end of the day we found ourselves on the morning of 5th April in a fantastic position to get a win and move further up and increase our chances, regardless of where we thought we'd be x months ago. Reality is, on the 5th of April we didn't perform nearly well enough and through it away. Whetehr we were 1st, 11th or 21st I think we'd all expect ourselves to beat the bottom team. It doesn't matter that they had freedom to play however they wanted, that they're playing to be snapped up or whatever, I want our players to take play offs more seriously. We have something huge to play for and we didn't perform. There is no excuse. It doesn't matter how many times they hit the woodwork, because we gave them those chances and even after that saving grace we through it away! Saying 'its going to happen' doesn't wash with me either. We can't look at it like that. Arsenal didn't loose in a season, if they had lost to someone they should have beat with say 6 games to go I don't think it would be exceptable to say ' oh well it was going to happne'. Fact is, it doens't have to and its no excuse.

But in the season Arsenal didnt "loose", there were many times earlier on they blew points against weak sides and drew(Leicester, a then crap Everton) which was going to cost them the title because their players didnt defend till the last minute and conceded late goals....

Were they not taking it seriously? Of course they were, but success is hard to manage all the time in the most predictable scenarios, for all bar the most lavish clubs, and even they can't manage it sometimes! It happens you know. We don't have an excuse, we lost. But tomorrow is another day so let's move on and achieve what we can in spite of that game. It is done and dusted. But we have five games left, let us think about them!

Some of the PERSONAL abuse on the player rating thread was pathetic

You're complaining about people posting PERSONAL abuse on the board yet you've posted PERSONAL abuse about me on NSP. What a nasty little HYPOCRITE you are

Poor game BUT Port Vale are a form team and the match was on the back of a busy month for us.

No excuses for the way we played but it was a BLIP in an otherwise good run of late.

In response to your PERSONAL ABUSE about my WIFE, who you've never met.

Leave DP alone, you're just JEALOUS because you never came over a hookers TITS whilst she's putting ON a Johnnie as you desperately try to lose your virginity.

Obviously the players want to play at a bigger stadium etc but I thought they lacked the passion to do it yesterday, and it wouldn't be the first time so it certainly is possible that players don't giove 100% so you can't really use that argument. Perhaps they're tired, perhaps they're waiting for a bigger club to snap them up, perhaps they're waiting for Falmer. I don't know, but i don't believe they wanted it enough yesterday whatseoever.
