I think the media in this country stir up a complete frenzy before England matches. I personally dont think this is very good at all.

For example Italy expects just as much as England to win the world cup, in fact if they dont Win it they will get tomatoed, but yesterday evening what impressed me the most was there was no build up to Italys match with Ghana on Rai Uno, they only went over to the game 10 minutes before kick off. Why is it the BBC / ITV insist on starting England matches 2 hours before kick off and raising expectations, shoving images of 1966 down our throat and pointless pointless debate with overpaid pundits.

I would personally prefer no build up to any England matches. I bet you England would play better.

At least we haven't got Townsend and McCoist talking barely audible, above the sound of the crowd, bollocks on the pitch before the game when England play.

Because it's a very cheap way of filling 2 hrs of TV that you know people will watch.

What I meant is that England would play better better in our eyes becuase we would not be hearing about them every 5 minutes.

That's the great thing about the English language, isn't it? You can say one thing when actually you mean something completely different

It fuels the pressure the press are putting on Rooney thats for sure!! He must feel like the weight of the country is on his shoulders.... frankly I don't think it'll do him any good at all!!
