Child poverty isn't being helped in this country by letting in100k + illegal immigrants is it?
Poverty struck children in this country have civil rights too.
Trolling forums late at night with irrelevant tangents doesn't help child poverty either.
All it does is satisfy your need for attention.

Is it successful to run a country into the ground in full public view? To focus on dog whistle politics and angering the electorate, dropping any pretence of human decency or morality?

That’s not my definition of success, and if you look at this government and see success, I’d be interested in knowing where?

Could you give me one metric by which you measure the country to have been improved since Labour last left power?
This government has had a tough time dealing with Brexit, the war in Ukraine, Covid, the Liz Truss fiasco and illegal immigration. Personally I think they've done very well and hope they are successful in the next election.

How has the country improved. I think its safer now. Theres triple lock pensions, the NHS is great in my experience. The last 13 years has been good for me so I'm very happy.

It absolutely boils my piss that the right wing politicians say:

The silent majority
The vocal minority

And reporters let them get away with it - what in gods f*** makes them believe this nonsense. If it was a majority they wouldn’t be silent, if they were a minority they wouldn’t be so vocal.

Flagship is one of our old right wingers that got purged in ‘22.
Back under different names to troll political threads.
What on earth are you talking about?

Yes I'm more right than left wing but why are political threads the preserve of left wingers. Just because I have my views doesn't make me a troll. I just think a lot of what is written on here is unfounded criticism of people who are doing their best for the country.

"The Liz Truss fiasco" wasn't something the government had to deal with, she was the prime minister and the "fiasco" was the consequences of the government's own policies.

Have you noticed how you get more responses when you troll, than when you try to post a heartfelt comment?

Agree last they took over a thriving economy and brought it to its knees were will we end up this time round.
The banking crash in 2008, was the cause of the problem, whereas the Conservatives have tripled the National Debt since 2010. Yes, we know that Covid hit, but Britain is the worst performing country in the G7.

We were also well into the Tory policy of borrowing and at the same time slashing services and infrastructure.

Siphoning off money and leaving the taxpayer in huge debt.

I’m genuinely glad that life is good for you. However, there is no objective measure by which the NHS is in a better place now than it was in 2010.

And while I’m not against the pension triple lock per se, why are this government attempting to cut working age benefits at the same time as implementing the triple lock for pensioners? Surely such protections should be implemented across the board, not limited to one client group at the expense of others?

This government is actively trying to cut funding from society’s most vulnerable as we speak.

Similarly, in what regard can the country be said to be safer? There is war in Europe, the Israel/Palestine conflict is in full swing, and there were far-right thugs punching coppers at the Cenotaph on Armistice Day, and I don’t remember that being a feature of life in 2009.

Additionally, instead of refugees being assessed in their country of origin, and only those with approved claims being permitted entry, this government’s policy of closing all legal migration routes means that we have small boats of completely unvetted individuals with no paperwork arriving on our shores. I’d say the world was a far more dangerous place than in 2009, and that this government has contributed considerably to this being the case.

We will see how many share your definition of success at the next election, may the time come swiftly.

Talking of wasting money, £140,000,000,000 has been paid to Rwanda. How many British children could've been helped?

Local government subsidies from central government cut to the bone, so Special Needs schools are struggling.

If only it was siphoned. It has been a waterfall of tax payers money. Shadowy groups in Tufton Street, like Tax Payers Alliance, ERG, Adam Smith Institute, Centre for Policy studies etc all using tax payers money for what? Garnering more donations?

Say what you like about Margaret Thatcher, one good thing she did was to abolish the Quangos, as she called them. She also tried to avoid appointing Etonians in her cabinet.
