We can take a few positives from that. Caskey and Bridcutt. No injuries or silly bookings and the fact we are top of the league and have 3 games in hand on second. Its all good, who cares about the Cup we were never going to win it
Saw it on Cupaliberatorres on t'internet and thought we played well but got bullied by Stoke in the first twenty five minutes. A lot to take though. Played the best attractive football, Jake Caskey and now a clear run at promotion. Stoke are a limited side. Playing that way they will never be scintilating or attractive. We, if we play this way, will be both scintilating and attractive. League 1 results pretty good too.
Thanks for the cup run lads, have enjoyed it.
No embarrassment in todays result at all. We were playing a full strength established premiership team today and we had a fair few 1st teamers out.
We didn't deserve to win today but who cares, we know we aren't where we want to be yet but we are on our way. This FA cup run has been very useful in the fact that we have pitted our wits against 3 teams in higher divisions and haven't looked out of place.
I was watching the game on t'internet, and think Caskey could be a key player for the promotion push.
The albion did play better in the second half, but there is still jitters in the defence when Brezovan is playing. There was some play before the end where Brez came way off his line to clear a ball only to be beaten by Elphick, so clearly there are some communications issues.
For me Caskey, Bennet and Bridcutt were the better players today. The Albion didn't disgrace themselves at all especially when the Stoke players seemed to be at least 6 inches or more taller than the Albion.
