I might be behind the times, but if Stockpot have been saved will Gannon get his job back and will they be willing to sell Dicker? Any further developments.
They are not "safe". They have been bailed out for the time being, and will need to slash outgoings if they are to reamain financially secure. This means a reduction in the wage bill for staff and players. Dont expect Jim Gannon back, and do still expect players to leave. I would say that the situation regarding Dicker has not changed. I would expect a reasonable offer from us to be accepted. They are far from being safe yet.
A creditors meeting has been called for, I think, July 1 and at that a CVA will be proposed that will pay a disgustingly paltry 1 penny in the pound to non-footballing creditors. As the majority of the debt, about 80%, is owned by one person Brian Kennedy who owns Sale Sharks it is likely that the CVA will be passed.
The consortium have apparently spoken to Gannon but allegedly he refused to take a 50% cut in his salary - he was apparently on circa 200k pa - and also wanted to keep a percentage of transfers as he did previously. The Melrose consortium said no so they are now talking to new possible managers.
