Because without tedious shit and futile conjecture like this there would be no NSC and Bozza would be exposed as some Wizard of Oz style beardy-weirdy hiding behind a plasterboard stage set with a megaphone (or similar).
Meh!

Not in our hands, why worry? We'll still be here regardless of who is playing for us.

Exactly, if Chelsea want him he is going to Chelsea. Big loss though.

This year we are PL though. I think he'll sign for at least a year if the money is right.

That might not make a difference. Chelsea wanted John Ruddy when he was in the PL with Norwich and Ruddy wanted to go. He only ended up staying because England were heading to a World Cup or something and there was talk that he might be taken as 3rd Goalkeeper in the squad. In the end Fraser Foster got the 3rd spot but if it wasn't for the fact that he was after that place in the England squad he would have happily went to Chelsea.

It just depends on the player themselves so it will probably be a personal decision for Stockdale. Play football or Pocket finances and so depend on what he sees as a priority in his career at this stage. Either way, there are a fair few goalkeepers around of a similar standard who wouldn't break the bank to sign. He has had a decent season but not a position I would be worried about next season.

Listening to talk sport today, they stated that CH was confident that Stockdale was staying here.

For illustration, the Chelsea second choice keepers in the last three seasons have played the following:

14/15 Cech played 15 matches (7 PL, 4 League Cup inc the FINAL, 2 FAC, 2 Champions League)
15/16 Begovic played 25 matches (17 PL, 2 League Cup, 1 FAC, 5 Champions League)
16/17 to date Begovic 7 matches (1 PL, 3 LC, 3 FAC) Would undoubtedly have played more but they were not in Europe at all.

The key is PL and CL games. Other than the period in 2015/16 when Courtois had a rare injury, Chelski's second keeper was essentially warming the bench. That will be Stockdale's lot. They aren't going to trust him, when Courtois is one of the very best, when every win is vital - this summer all their PL rivals are embarking on unprecedented spending sprees, making next year's PL title race more competitive than ever.

It boils down to: Will Stockdale want £45,000 a week from us and play all 38 PL games, or
To be part of a winning set-up, to travel Europe, earn £100,000 per week and play in League Cup ties.

Meopham, Kent.
We could loan them Stockers for a season and we could have Abrahams and Tomori on a season long loan too......sounds good.

He'd have to sign a new deal with us first. Not sure they'd loan him off us when they could sign sign him for a free.
