. Yesterday a £40 ticket came through.

I thought that only the cheaper seats where left to sell?

I think it all depends where you bought your ticket. Those of us that went to the ground were the unluckier ones when it came to distribution of the top tickets.

Still, at least we all have tickets! :)

I work with a fair few West Ham supporters who'd love to be going on Saturday.

There were times between 10.15am - 6pm on Saturday standing in the dark in Zion Gardens when I thought " what the hell am I doing ?, I could save an 8 hour queue and £ 101 and a 12 hour and 400 mile journey and what it in the local pub ".

So to get 27000 prepared to go under those circumstances is absolutely magnificent.

Its one of those games that " If your not there your not a supporter " as far as I'm concerned.

Can someone phone the club and find out how many tickets we've actually sold/got left!

Its all a bit cloak and dagger for some reason. There has not been a single update from the club on ticket sales all week except the rap on my knuckles from Martin Perry when he said we would not sell out the 31000 on the Saturday.

I do do not know if weve sold 20000, 25000, 27000, 29000 ?. Why the lack of information to the fans.

.

Yes but the less genuine fan probably hasn't even heard of North Stand Chat so won't see your advert and will probably want transport laid on to them on a plate rather than search around on the offchance of getting there.
All genuine Albion fans now are either already going or can't go for whatever reason. I don't think many would have left it this late to arrange it.

Just back from the ticket office. There are now a few more £40 and £32 tickets on sale that have become available. In total there are a couple of thousand tickets left all in the corners of the ground. There was a steady stream of people in the shop buying tickets so I would guess selling 31000 is quite possible. Shop is open till 8pm to make life easier for people to buy tickets.

I reckon a late rush on Saturday will happen as people meet up on Friday night in pubs and decide to go along with their mates.

Quite a bit of play-off merchandise in the shop now. Loads of flags and T-shirts, and the official programme is also for sale for £5.

I am sure the 31000 will sell out by close of business Saturday but if there is 2000 tickets left the club needs to get this information out into the public domain via the radio or Argus and not have some sort of secret Squirrel organisation going on !.

Calling people that can't go to the game fair weather fans is just plain daft. Fair weather fans ONLY go to games like this. It's Chesterfield away on a tuesday night that shows the real core fan.
Anyway, lets not knock anyone who wants to buy a ticket to watch the albion, we will want them all when Falmer is built!

Anyone know why we have'nt been selling tickets by phone/tinternet? - Especially now that all us die hards have got ours!

Bristol have been- which I think is the biggest reason they have sold more tickets (even taking into consideration the obvious geographical advatages they've got)

Brizzle's tinternet sales were handled by Wayahead. I'm sure the Albion could have outsourced to an external ticket agency but there would, presumably, be a cost associated with doing that. In addition by handling the sales themselves, the Albion have retained full control which is the right thing to do, I think.

If there is any chance of Albion not selling out, the club should be doing everything to ensure as many tickets are sold as possible, and that means internet sales.

27,000 is a very poor figure if you ask me, so I really do hope it is the 29,000+ that we were led to believe a couple of days ago.

Lord Bracknell's post taking the piss out of Mansfield who have "only" managed to sell 18-20,000 for is looking a bit woeful now. That's a town with a fraction of the population of our own fine city. :nono:

Mansfield have sold about 13,000...

West Ham - 33,817 SOLD OUT
Palace (North End) - 31,000 SOLD OUT

Bristol City - 33, 817 plus extra 700 plus another 300 today = 34,817 SOLD OUT
Brighton (North End) - 31,000 allocation and have sold between 27,000 and 28,000 (apparently)

Huddersfield - 30,000 allocation and have sold just over 21,000
Mansfield Town - 20,000 allocation and have sold 13,000 as at close of business last night.

Totally agree!

Come on Brighton!! Let's get it together! How are you going to cope with Falmer! We just want to know what is going on! We are constantely having to rely on hear-say!

27,000 is NOT poor, jesus for the millionth time its a HELL of a place to get too, its a full day trip which some parents might not want to take their kids on + many other reasons I cant be bothered to list.

Seems everyone "thinks" we have a fan base of millions when the reality is that we DONT, Gillingham/Withdean to blame, *if* we get Falmer then we will see the numbers come back but right now we have a smaller percentage of supporters than we did when we had the goldstone IMO
