The lack of public announcements has lessened the chance of this situation turning into a farcial media circus. When there is something to say, the club will say it. I'd rather that than public in-fighting on the back pages of the Argus and the nationals. It is for the club, gus, tanno and charlie to get this situation rectified in the proper manner and I am happy for them to do so.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't like them to get a move on but I'd rather it were done properly than hastily.

The last time the club tried to update us when there was nothing to say (Barber's email) they just got criticized, whilst I agree the email could have been worded better, if you have no real news, better of not saying anything in my view.

You can be sure Bloom, Barber, Perry and Co will be doing everything possible to resolve the situation.

You just dont get it, there is a PRIVATE investigation going on into what breach of contract has occured. If the club go and then tell the media whats going on, then Gus, Charlie and Tanno have grounds to take the club to court.

That's really not the case though.

There is nothing to stop a statement such as, "The legal representatives of BHAFC and Gus Poyet met today" - this is what would happen in a large commercial enterprise where there was a public interest in the situation.

Such statements, whilst not disclosing any details, would at least demonstrate that negotiations are taking place and how often - not giving updates of any kind is showing that the club have far less trust in the fans than the fans are being asked to have in the club.

And those of us who remember what has happened before take a slightly less "blind faith" approach to what is going on. It's taking far too long for the club to deal with ( the recent court case took less time ! ) and the silence should be setting off alarm bells. History often repeats itself you know.

I hope they're not thinking about selling the Amex to a private developer!

Well anyone that isn't totally thick and who has trust in TB would know that it's ongoing - we don't need a running commentary, that's how we become a joke club like Blackburn and Wolves.

Totally this! This situation is bad enough without it being played out on the nations back pages.

Very much this. It would not surprise me if all parties have agreed that there be no public announcements until the matter is settled or the way forward determined.

It's nothing to do with IQ levels but I do agree confidence in how the club is handling the matter does play a part. It's easy to say have faith in whoever is dealing with the suspensions on behalf of the club but quite frankly why should we?

Have they had to deal with similar situations in the past? Are negotiations actually taking part or has one side refused to take part? If talks have taken place have they stalled?

The bottom line though is that the club virtually belongs to TB and he can deal with this problem in anyway he likes. The fans are a major source of revenue for the club and at the moment are IMO being treated as such, just customers.

Hopefully the Argus has read this thread and they'll be sending their top man to provide a scoop for tomorrow's edition.

Whilst it would be nice to get an update I'm not getting overly worried and do have every faith in TB so trust that when the time is right the club will let us know whats happening.

And for those panicking about signings, contracts etc a lot of clubs this summer are in the middle of changing managers and currently in limbo so we're not alone in that aspect.

Came across the following on 'Football Rumours'. I expect its completely fabricated although the idea that a meeting would be set up away from the Amex is plausible.
Time 13.30 today.

The company I work for rents out offices for businesses. Was asked this morning to set it out in the style of a boardroom, booked in the name of Bloom. Just directed Gus Poyet to the room.

Brighton crisis talk, or sacking?

A large commercial enterprise is likely to be a publicly quoted company and therefore, I assume, to comply with Stock Exchange rules, would have to keep the market advised of the position if it may affect the price of shares. BHA, as far as I'm aware is a Private Limited Company and therefore are not liable to broadcast every single bit of information as the share price is not relevant to the market.

Sounds like utter arse to me. Why would he admit the Bloom and Poyet bit and withholding any venue info etc? They'd be able to trace him anyway. It's rollox.
